Attaching and Importing DXF files into a CS20

If you have a big dxf/dwg to work with, have you tried attaching it instead of importing it? There are great advantages to working this way such as layer control and a less congested map screen.
CS20 data 'greyed out' Unable to stake out data.

Trying to stake out but the data is greyed out and not selectable or data from another job is taking its place. This should solve the problem.
