Those gas tanks on those machines are small for a reason: so that the motor doesn’t overheat, thats why Stihls last a long time.

How long do you get per tank of gas? I have a 261 and I don't get long, wish the tank was bigger.
I get about 20 to 30 mins on a tank of gas depending on the kind of. Wood iam cutting . soft wood is better than hardwood to cut but if it has alot of limbs the gas goes faster .
@@vernonwalker5886 That's one area where Husky is better. 45 minutes to an hour per tank. Stihl has better quality though.
I watch many many videos about saws and first time I see this red thing for marking that someone used, actually a great idea ! Can you make a video about that how you made it ?
The red thing for marking is quite common here . You can buy it at any local chainsaw dealer it is not one that I made .

Always been diehard Husky guy and still am, just cut firewood and run to the fight when a tornado comes through. But I found a 261 new for $130 cheaper than retail... so yeah I’m gonna give it a genuine chance, but I don’t think I will be let down. Thanks,
I have husky as well 550xp good saw. My stihl 261 is my overall saw. I cut logs all summer balsam and spruce and also firewood find it the best .
No worries with a 261 it won't let you down. It's a great buy
The 550 is an absolute screamers it’s scary quick if I had the extra money I’d have one. My dad has one and it owns the 50cc class on a bad day, but I can’t justify spending another $125 for it when I’m just cutting firewood. Your videos are great keep posting and getting hits. Your stumping, felling, and bucking are superb! Hard to believe that’s a 50cc speaks for your filing work that most won’t even notice.
@@bjcash4655 thank you for your compliment.I have been doing woods work almost all my life. Learned alot along the way. I like my saw sharp if not it's hard on the motor and hard on the person seems you got work harder to get it thru the wood..

Let me guess. The pig tail + out to the tip of the bar is the maximum length log you can take out of that public land, right. Great little saw. I've got the same. For the size tree you are falling and cutting that is a lot for for a 50cc saw. The 400c would be perfect. Everybody that cuts a lot of firewood needs at minimum, two saws.
In this video I am cutting my firewood for next year. I cut it in 8 feet lengths then load it on my clam trailer. 400cc I don't think they sell it in Canada. I like the 261 for softwood it's a great saw and it's light.
