    Maybe Shanghai is a bit different / more modern than the rest of Mainland, but these girls you interviewed are ESPECIALLY reasonable compared to the popular majority in China. I'm not trying to trash on China, but the average Chinese woman will expect the male partner to pay for expenses when going out or doing stuff together, and that's the reality of the situation. It gets way more demanding in a marriage situation, where the male partner (and his family) are expected to provide a house (or at least a down payment), a car, pay for the wedding, gift a set of 24K gold jewelery, and provide a large sum of cash (roughly translated as "bride price") to the bride's family. Some regions also dictate that the groom's parents provide free childcare and housework, or hire a nanny to do so. Now I'm not saying all Chinese women make these demands. Generally, the expectations are more equal in Tier 1 cities like Shanghai and Beijing. Regardless of the locale, I believe the material obligations on the male side is heaviest in China compared to other cultures (at least if it's a serious relationship).

    As a woman, I'm overthought about this. I have ego and independent enough, so I want to go 50/50 all the time. But, I know that men want to have more power as a "man", so woman needs to be wise to feed them ego and self-esteem so that men will like us. Imagine the situation when a man shows off to pay and a date keeps denying, he will feel less and not connected, honestly feel like cannot give so cannot take. I believe women can take care of ourselves these days, we just let men feel good by doing this.

      @inminh98 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@华夏独领风骚 I'm not a Korean, but I can say that you should consider that the rate of Chinese people coming to Korea to have plastic surgery is the highest among the countries that go to Korea to have plastic surgery. If you want to see the real faces of Chinese people, I think you should watch football or volleyball. That is the real face of the Chinese people.

    • @华夏独领风骚
      @华夏独领风骚 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@inminh98 You said that the number of Chinese people who go to South Korea for plastic surgery is probably the largest among foreigners. After all, China has one of the largest populations in the world, and Indians are more concerned about how to have enough to eat. China is very close to South Korea, which is one of the reasons. . The fact that more people go to South Korea for plastic surgery shows that the plastic surgery industry in South Korea is developed. Only if more Koreans have plastic surgery can the plastic surgery industry be developed, and foreigners come here because of its reputation. The proportion of Chinese people undergoing plastic surgery compared to Korean people is so small that it is insignificant. There are many idol groups in South Korea, and the popularity of kpop has given rise to a developed plastic surgery industry.

    I think it's nice of them to offer, but as a man, i think the man should pay. He almost certainly asked her out and not the other way around. Also, part of dating is proving you have the capability of having a more serious relationship which will require him to pay for a lot more than just lunch. If he can't pay for lunch or dinner, there is very little likelihood he can pay for a home.

    • @ju3041
      @ju3041 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      exactly. it's also just a nice and kind gesture and it signals that the man is actually interested in something serious with the woman. when a man asks to split the bill it comes across as him not wanting anything serious and probably just wants to have a casual or sexual relationship. that's why it throws so many women off. most women are absolutely capable of paying for their meals lol but many men don't seem to understand the signals that these gestures give...

      @@AnLin-r1x Spending too much would be another sign to look for and possibly avoid. You are trying to judge what this person will be like to live with. There is very little likelihood that after you are married with two children that you will want to continue splitting everything half and half. You will have to rely on this person's judgement. If you are artificially changing that while dating him, you cannot accurately judge him.

    Of course they would say that on camera. but they prob are unhappy with guys who split with them, leading to no 2nd dates, which also harms themselves bc they could have lost out on a great guy. also, saying that the person who asked the other out should pay makes no sense. the reason is bc girls never take the initiative- never. so by default the guys must always pay.
