    Sorry - but was not Eve, designed to sin? Was it not a near certainty, that she would, at Eden? With her own senses encouraging her, to look upon the fruit, and to favour it. Especially when having only a largely abstract knowledge of good, or evil - or even of knowing them apart? And of what death was, too. Does that then mean, that sin is hereditary, or not? Or did Eve fundamentally alter human nature when she ate of the Fruit, and the world around us? Which by some definitions, would make her a Creator, to a degree (and Adam) Also, did spiritual death, then descend into us? And had it already done so, in many angels, earlier? Did those angels, moreover, retain any spiritual powers, post exile - and if so, can they be wholly, spiritually dead, too? And finally - is the Job story literal, and did Satan have to shrive himself, in part - if so - so he could re-attend heaven, near to the Presence? Thanks.

    God never said one in seven , He never said rest first one day then rest. Just like when Jesus taught about marriage He said what God has joined let no man take away. In short give to Caesar what belong to Caesar and give to God what belongs to God. Even though God wrote it twice with his very own hand on tablets of stone. Jesus told Satan make cannot live on bread alone but by every word if God. Please listen to the sermon and see how we have made the word of of no effect for our own tradition.

    It is so sad that this dear man can read Exodus 20:8 regarding the Seventh Day Sabbath (Saturday), and then relate it to Sunday which is the first day of the week. Verse eight says "REMEMBER" the seventh day (Sabbath) to keep it holy, not Sunday. Verse 10 says, "the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God, it has never been a Jewish Sabbath, because it is God's Sabbath. Sunday worship was introduced by Constantine and the Papacy, a pagan day to draw Pagans into the church, Sunday was known as the Venerable Day of the Sun. It is not a day that Christians should be recognising. The Papacy says that by keeping Sunday, Protestants pay homage to the Catholic Church in spite of themselves. Why? Because the Catholic Church claim authority for changing the Seventh Day Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday.

    There is no verse in the New Testament that states the Sabbath was changed to the first day of the week. The first he refers to an act 20 by Jewish calendar is actually talking about Saturday night. Paul would’ve been preaching all day Sabbath, as he often did and many examples are given throughout the book of acts of his preaching on Sabbath, and seeking out places of prayer and worship on the seventh day Sabbath. But even if you were to grant this particular verse in Acts 20 as he reads it, it still never claims to change the sacredness of the day from Saturday to Sunday. When John in the book of.Revelation says that he was in the spirit on the Lords day, there is only one day that Christ ever claimed to be the Lord of, and that was the seventh day sabbath

  • @torgylynn

    Great exposition on why we should keep the Sabbath- I find it strange though that he doesn’t notice inherent inconsistency in his sermon by calling people to worship on the seventh day Sabbath and at the same time telling them to keep Sunday.

    Dear, Patrick Free Church Continuing, I disagree to your exposition on Gen2:2-3. It stated explicitly, God blessed and not commanded. Nowhere was it dogmatically define or assert to a commandment or even stated that each succeeding seven was to be a rest day for God or man. .....Think about it man had only been created only the day before and needed no rest from labor because man has done no work besides we can show in Isa40:28 that God did not become weary and he never took his rest on the subsequent seven-day Sabbath’s besides the word Sabbath does not occur even one time in the book of Genesis. Did you not know have you not heard that Yahweh is the Elohim of the Aeon the creator of the uttermost regions of the earth land? He does not become weary or tired. ..... Our Lord was challenged by the Pharisees and He referred to John5:17 saying my Father works till now so do even I which was uttered on the Sabbath day. So, clearly God was working on the later Sabbath as was the Son and that’s why often the Pharisees wanted to kill Him. .....further, If there is a Sabbath law commandment God commanded and if the law is transgressed, where is the punishment mentioned in Genesis.? Obviously, there is nowhere to be found and you teaching is unbiblical. Appreciate your comments Thank you.

      Sabbath was for man, not man made for the Sabbath. Mark 2:27

    • @torgylynn
      @torgylynn 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello, I just wanted to address your question regarding why Adam and Eve would need a day of rest since they had only been created the day before. In the Genesis account, it does not mention that Adam and Eve rested. Only that God rested. Does God need rest? The reason the Sabbath was created only a few short hours after the creation of Adam and Eve was To help Adam and Eve remember that they had no work to do with God’s work in creating the world. God had done all of the work ; they had done none of it, but only had a day to simply enjoy the creation and the Creator. If you compare the two Sabbath Commandments from Exodus 20 and Deuteronomy 5, you will see that one is a memorial of God‘s creation and the other is a memorial of God‘s deliverance. The seventh day Sabbath is to remind us that God is our Creator and God is our Savior . When God in Jesus, finished the work of salvation on Calvary, He rested on the seventh day just as He had done when He finished the work of creation . If God has set up an anniversary for us to observe by making a day holy and sanctifying it, who are we as meet mortals to think we can change it or ignore it? The Sabbath was made for us as a gift; The Lord loves us and wants to spend time with us. If your significant other gave you a gift or you have an anniversary with your significant other, would you refuse the gift or change the day of the anniversary suit your desires? If you wouldn’t do this with the person you love why would you do this with God? Please note in Isaiah 56 verse 6 that gentiles are called to keep the sabbath day holy. Isaiah 58 talks about how we should keep the sabbath day holy. And finally Isaiah 66 expounds on the earth made new, specifically a “new heavens a new earth”, the same language used in the last two chapters of the book of revelation. It states very clearly here that we will be keeping the sabbath in heaven. God only ordained two holy institutions at the time of creation: marriage and the Sabbath. Both have been under attack ever since.

      ...Adam & Eve rested with God, in the bonds of relationship, Creator got to enjoy His creation of His own likeness, the Bible says they walked together in the cool of the day...Sabbath is about having relationship, not weighing it down like the Pharisees. It is a delight to behold Sabbath in the heart...sundown Friday until sundown Saturday.

      @@tutuhuckelberry2983 In creation, Gen2:2-3 God rested on the seventh day and set it apart and blessed it. But, since God is all-powerful, He doesn’t get tired. He doesn’t need to take a break and rest. So, why does it say that He rested? The reason is simple: Mark 2:27 says, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.” In other words, God established BUT didn’t commanded the Sabbath as a gift of rest for His people, not because He needed a break, but because we are mortal and need a time of rest, to focus on God. In this, our spirits and bodies are both renewed. But the Pharisees made it a burden by adding traditions to God's gift. Further in Joh5:17 Jesus say even now His Father works everyday non-stop, so He too does the same.

      Matt 28 : ¶In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulcher. The 1st day of the week is Sunday and the seventh day is Saturday which has been kept for over six thousand years. We know this because the Jews have kept the record. The Sabbath was changed by man to Sunday and not God by the Emperor Constantine . In the year 321 A.D., Constantine decreed, "On the venerable day of the Sun let the magistrates and people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops be closed" (Codex Justinianus lib. 3, tit. .

      Pick one according to your understanding of scripture and honour God. Since most of us are blessed with a weekend we can rest on Saturday and go to church on Sunday. Don't be put off by those who say Sunday is the day of the sun, all the days of the week were given pagan names, Saturday is Saturn's day and is associated with molech. What we call Sunday, the Bible calls the first day of the week. We are under a new covenant with a new high priest.
