Personally I’d say the new re-recording is actually my favorite version of this album (Hansi’s singing is very much improved over the original version and the instrumentation has more punch to it). My only minor nitpick is that I wish they would’ve kept the outro lyrics from the remixed version of Journey Through The Dark (may I ever return to the world I love. Come tell me will it ever end). I always thought that was a really cool addition to the song. As far as the 2013 remixes go, I agree that Imaginations From The Other Side, Nightfall In Middle Earth, and A Night At The Opera are all definitely far superior to their original versions. I will somewhat disagree with you on Tales From The Twilight World though, although the improvement isn’t nearly as great as it was on the three aforementioned albums, I still think there’s a few things the remix did better than the original (clearer string instrumentation on Lord of the Rings, Kai’s scream being extended on “but I cannot fiiiiiiiiind” from Lost In The Twilight Hall, the added choir vocals on The Last Candle). The only song I think they definitively made worse on the remix is Altair 4 by removing all the creepy atmospheric elements from the song. I also mostly agree with you on the Somewhere Far Beyond remix. Like I said, I like the additional lyrics at the end of Journey Through The Dark but aside from that there’s really nothing about it that I would choose over the original. Definitely the weakest of the 2013 remixes, while it doesn’t ruin the album it also doesn’t do much to improve it either. Anyway great video

I'm so glad Warlord still lives!

I heard Deris singing Murderer back on that tour and I thought he did a great job. He's got the voice for those menacing low parts. Always thought he would be perfect for "First Time", also. But we never hear those songs anywhere other than the album. Are you going to be covering the next three? Pretty sure they are out now.

Incredible interview with two world class humans! Van Dyk is a very wise and well connected dude, I've been following Redemption for a long time, and Zonder's drumming and the whole AZ project is so high level and inspiring. Agreed with all they've mentioned about AI and the importance of the mixing / mastering quality. The earbuds ruined it all but I have hope some day the trend will change for the better when sound quality will again become a 'want' for everybody. Thank you for this and Mr Dyk kudos to Chris Quirarte, his drumming isn't as easy to learn anymore, Redemption's last album kicks ass.

So far I've only heard Walls Of Jericho, which is great, I like the overall sound and it does sound clearer. It's also sound like Markus Grosskopf's bass runs are clearer in the mix. I'm surprised you didn't mention both Kreator and Celtic Frost when talking about Noise Records, both these bands have been hugely instrumental in both thrash and death metal. I would replace Keeper:2 with Walls Of Jericho in my top 5 Helloween albums. Keep up the good work 🤟

Glad I got George started as the lead singer for ASKA and got him to hire another base player whom he selected( Keith Knight) by suggestion of course, he took the step and got it done! 7 great albums now! Good with all of them!

I think the album can be good… but, I hope they understand what made Crimson Glory so amazing- I give all of that credit to Midnight on vocals and the amazing lyrics. No one will ever be able to truly replace Midnight, his talent and vocal ability was incredible… But Travis seems like a good fit, I heard him sing some older songs and he sounded better than Wade. I hope they attack this album with some new sounds and lyrics that are still reminiscent of the original band.

Honestly I agree with everything you said. I would even go further and add something - Accept with Udo ( in the 80’s), Udo’s solo band and Accept with Mark are three separate entities. I view Mark Tornillo as Accept’s Andi Deris. A totally new and less famous singer that fits the band’s style perfectly, adds new vibe to the music and ironically helps the band rediscover itself. Each album with Mark is better than everything they’ve done in the 90’s and that’s a fact. Even the hardcore Udo fans cannot deny that. “Humanoid” is amazing and I say that with a relief because the previous two albums were not exactly bad, definitely not bad, but kinda interchangeable and without many memorable moments. Humanoid redeems it all. I am also grateful that you acknowledged how awesome Udo’s solo output generally is, especially in the last 15 years. His latest album “Touchdown” is basically “Timebomb” with a better production and with wider variety of music. There’s no room to whine since we have so much going on and so much great music to enjoy. I love your channel, God bless you and your beloved ones. Stay safe and cheers 🍻
