Waltz of Youth, for Orchestra (1976)
This is a famous song "Youth Waltz" that was played everywhere in the streets and alleys in the 1980s. In 1976, the ten-year civil war had just ended. Famous composer Du Mingxin felt the political atmosphere of the end of the severe winter and the arrival of spring, and wrote this "Youth Waltz". The light and lively melody is an indicative musical work of that relaxed and active era, expressing the people's joyful mood of celebrating the victory of overthrowing the "Gang of Four". The music is full of vitality and has the characteristics of young people. It shows the positive attitude of young people and a song of building friendship, peace and unity.

superb chanting and recording of percussion -- but the transcription does not match what the singer does - or only sometimes
I watched/heard the whole of this one of course -- how was the original score written out? are there photos of it?
It was written using frequently ratios in standard rhythmic notation. Partch used colors too.
It was written in tablature: ratios for the vocals, but for the instruments it was just based on how they were played.
