This shouldn’t burn your skin at all. I highly recommend most of Avene while your skin is so angry! I get a little frustrated that so many doctors are not more helpful at giving patients products that soothe because it’s well known that Rx destroys the skin barrier and that patients need soothing products that hydrate. Now eventually your skin may start getting more oily again and some of Avene would be too thick and heavy for your skin. For now I think this cleanser, their Cicalfate restorative cream, and Cicalfate restorative lip cream could be very helpful! Let me know if you try it and tell me how it goes! I use as a spot treatment only because mine are occasional. You can use in areas where you frequently get breakouts as prevention!

Yes! You can do that. Is there anything you are trying to improve? If there's scarring or unwanted pigment, then you may like the advanced alto better in the gold bottle.

I have had no issues with them under sunscreen. I rarely wear makeup to be honest. The skinbetter sunscreen reminds me of makeup and does well with it. I have not had any negative feedback from patients in regard to this.

@@rhyneflute aww I’m sorry you didn’t like it. It is pricey and unfortunately everyone’s body reacts differently with products or treatments. Did you tell your Aesthetician who sold it to you so that they’ll have that feedback? For me it really does brighten my eyes and if I’ve run out I think I start to look more tired over time if I’m not using. Curious what are your eye concerns and goals?

@ yes, I definitely told my aesthetician and she seemed to agree with me about not seeing a difference. Wrinkles are my concern in this area.

No staining but it has transferred if I didn’t rub on my skin well or if I applied too much!

It does have a light scent to it. Not a fragrance but still there is a bit of a smell.

10 blade is shorter and more rounded than the #14, it is ideal for getting into smaller more restricted areas of the face and the rounded (bullnose) tip prevents any accidental snagging or scratching, thus providing a more effective and consistent finish. I think the 10 stays sharp longer and does not dull down as quickly.

Serums always go on first then apply moisturizer. The serums absorb better and the moisturizer helps the outer skin the most. Thanks for watching!

Yes!

I find that I have to always use two blades. Maybe some of the hairs are left behind due to the blade dulling down. Even holding mine at a 45 degree angle I still find it’s better to change blades for those tiny little fine hairs left behind. I have to get close and look at different angles sometimes to be sure I got it all. Can be very tedious! My guess is that too many are left behind causing that feeling.

Thanks so much! What type of light and magnifying device do you use to dermaplane? I only have a mag lamp where I work, and it is very tedious and difficult to see every single hair

I do better with regular Alto. In the winter the advanced dries me out… but I’m just fine using in the summer haha! I love their stuff despite the pricing! But it lasts a long time !

Can’t make the patient do what they don’t want to… I’ve recommended retinol or Tretinoin. The hair is what she is mostly concerned with. I’ve also recommended laser hair removal instead. Her hair grows back exactly the same. There’s delays in how frequent she returns so I’ve been able to see how it grows. It is exactly like when she first started.

Her hair is darker, but still fine. There are areas that are somewhat thicker(very few places). I’ve recommended laser but this is her preference. Hair of the body definitely grows in differently. The facial hair tends to be very fine however, some people still have very coarse hair. I think people believe her hair is thicker than it is due to the color being dark.
