Bui Vien walking street is 850 meters long and is in the heart of District 1. It is a backpacker district with many restaurants, coffee shops, hotels, pubs, and bars. Besides, the area is now equipped with public Wi-Fi, restrooms, and information desks to serve visitors better.
No matter which means of transportation you choose, including public buses, private vehicles, or taxis, you can easily access the walking street comprising of three streets. For added convenience, the walking street is just a short 10-15-minute walk away from Ben Thanh Market. If you prefer a taxi option that prioritizes environmental sustainability, consider XANH SM Taxi.
It was hard to imagine Bui Vien street Vietnam as such a busy and bustling area as we see today, even for its residents. Before 1975, journalists and artists referred to this area as the International Intersection, referring to the five streets surrounding the Nguyen Van Hao cinema (now called Ho Chi Minh City Drama Theater). The name was popular among journalists and writers because the area used to be densely packed with printing shops and newsrooms.
After 1975, the quarter became a tourist attraction, especially for backpackers, explaining its alternate name: the Western Street. At the time, most visitors to Bui Vien Street Ho Chi Minh came from the United States, the United Kingdom, and France. In 2009, the area became more crowded, attracting an increasing number of traders who came to do business.
On 15th July 2017, the street opened to pedestrians. On 20th August 2017, Bui Vien Street was officially designated as a walking street in Saigon. It is the second walking street in Ho Chi Minh City, following Nguyen Hue street. It is one of the most crowded streets in Ho Chi Minh City.
Bui Vien Walking Street is a popular nighttime destination for foreign visitors and young Saigonese people, making it a crowded multicultural street with tourists from all over the world.
There will be street art performances, traditional and contemporary music shows, and other activities to meet the needs of the public while also facilitating interactions with non-Vietnamese friends and cultural integration.
Today, the streets and alleys surrounding Bui Vien have become a backpacker district, with restaurants, cafes, hotels, hostels, bars, and pubs. Even if you dislike the craziness and loudness of parties, visiting Bui Vien walking street is still recommended because you can go to a restaurant or cafe to quietly enjoy Bui Vien's nightlife.
As a cultural intersection, Bui Vien is home to both branded coffee chains and local specialty coffee boutiques. If you are looking for convenience, you can't go wrong with Starbucks, Bobby Brown, Trung Nguyen, or Phuc Long.

@@lambertgiang I was travelling in India in 01/24 and I found India fascinating. Maybe you can't compare Indian High Speed Rail to Chinese High Speed Rail, but I found India had more historical monuments and more sophisticataed architectures to explore and admire. I mean you can't expect wonders such as Taj Mahal in Laos.
@@meowsaga3671 Laos also beautiful temple Phat That Liang being one of the Top 10 temple and a modern clean station of course can not compared to the old Railway Station of India that is so dated looking and the air in Laos are much better and water is incomparable to India that most Foreigners have good times to line up for Toilets if any out of City.
True, Laos are generally very hygienic. Indian cities Delhi, Agra & Jaipur where I have been to were all very polluted. I do not think I have been to any nations that can be so polluted even the indoor air of my 3 star hotels. Pha That Luang is nothing comparing to the Burmese Shwedagon though.

In 2020, the real gross domestic product (GDP) decreased by 0.4% compared with an increase of 4.7% in 2019 owing to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. The nominal GDP in 2020 was $18.5 billion. The output of the mining and quarrying sector decreased by 16.7% in 2020 compared with a decrease of about 0.1% in 2019. In 2020, the mining and quarrying sector accounted for 4.6% of the GDP compared with 5.7% in 2019. The total value of goods exported in 2020 was $6.20 billion. Such mineral commodities as salts, ores, and mineral fuels accounted for 42% of Laos’ total goods exports, by value; precious stones and precious metals, 7.6%; base metals and articles thereof, 3.6%; and industrial minerals and articles thereof, 0.1%. The total value of goods imported in 2020 was $5.02 billion. Such mineral commodities as salts, ores, and mineral fuels accounted for 15% of Laos’ total goods imports, by value; base metals and articles thereof, 10%; industrial minerals and articles thereof, 2.0%; and precious stones and precious metals, 0.3% (Lao Statistics Bureau, 2021, p. 75, 77; 2022, p. 67-69; International Monetary Fund, 2022). The legislative framework for the mineral sector in Laos is provided by the Law on Minerals in 2008, as amended in 2011 and 2017. The National Assembly of Laos maintained the moratorium on new mining concessions owing to pending inspections of existing operations. Some of the projects were inactive, and some others were producing illegally because they were not operating according to required environmental standards or were not otherwise in compliance with government regulations. From 2016 to 2020, 193 mining permits were issued to companies that were undertaking surveys and exploration (69), conducting feasibility studies (43), and engaged in mining (81). The number of registered mining and quarrying enterprises decreased to 178 in 2020 from 197 in 2019 (Laotian Times, The, 2016; Yap, 2020b; Lao Statistics Bureau, 2021, p. 118; Tappe, 2021, p. 2; Khamphavong and Homesombath, undated, p. 21). In 2020, Laos’ iron ore (mine, Fe content) production increased by 115%; anthracite, by 98%; potash (K2O content), by 54%; gypsum (mine), by 22%; cement, by 18%; and tin (mine, Sn content), by 14%. Production of common clay and high silica clay decreased by 97% each; barite, by 80%; silicon (metal), by 79%; salt, by 61%; lead (mine, Pb content), by 60%; copper (electrowon), by 45%; limestone, by 34%; copper (mine, concentrate, Cu content), by 30%; sandstone, by 23%; and iron and steel products, by 16%. Antimony (mine) was not produced in 2020. Data on mineral production are in table 1. Table 2 is a list of major mineral industry facilities.

Vietnam its a tricky place, people confuse because there are pretty womens in the bar, they can go out easily, they can but cost a lot, their income come from drinks and massages without sex. Vietnam is very expensive country to get sx. There is a lot hidden places, only locals know where? But just to be foreigner they charge more than usual, but its better to waste time talking with those girls in bars and give them lady drinks, o get a massage with nothing, the best can get is a happy ending at high price.
If you are looking for cheap sex, you should visit the local hookup website however you need to have a good translator or understand some basic Vietnamese words. You will book via SMS and meet your selected lady at their appointed hotel or guest house. Prices depreciate as you move towards the outer skirt of city and ladies tend not understand much English. You would expect to pay more in downtown (HCMC Quan 1) because most ladies are more trendy and internationalised. Alternatively you can approach sex agents near Bùi Viện but they will want a cut of it or convince you to complete the mission in their appointed hotel or guest house to make some extra profits.
