Fantastic Video!! Thanks for helpin g me to correct my technique. Maybe down the road you can offer some advice on how to appropriately select those numbers on my DEWALT such as you have. Thanks again......😊😊😊
drilling a steel is much easier than GI and stainless is the hardest to work on , also I don't have step drill , and I can't push through with my step bit
I ruined my drill bit yesterday coz I didn't have a clue on how to drill through metal plate 🤦🏾♂️thank you for this tutorial I'm going to try it this way tomorrow.
Same thing applies in machining. Our bits get destroyed because the feed rate is too slow, the spindle speed is too fast, and the coolant ratio is too low.
I’m 31 and I considered myself an expert at using a drill(supposedly a simple tool) except in the areas of drilling through thick metal. I’m always doing work to my enclosed trailer and I could NEVER figure out why it was so hard to drill through the metal. Thank you so much!
Excellent video. Thank you. Simply and clearly explained and you demystified metal drilling and helped me overcome something I've always found intimidating. You're a professional.
Great video! I burned through most of my smaller sized bits a couple of weekends ago drilling out some rusted and broken studs on my exhaust system. Seems I would have saved my bits and got the work done sooner if I had been drilling correctly.
I just ruined some drill bits and stepper bits doing it wrong., by using hi speed and not pressing hard enough. I needed this video. Thanks for the lessons!
It's asolutely an ultimate guide for me. It solves my problems of drilling holes on hard metals which keep damaging drill bits even they are good ones. It's the speed. Thanks for sharing valuable tips
I wanted to drill 3 holes in each of front two doors of my cars to install car speakers, took me an hour for 6 holes. Did with high speed. Didn't know it could be done this way, thanks Master.
Got some piece of hard steel today that I had to drill holes in. It was dusty, no curls and I had the hardest time getting it done, plus the bit was hot. I saw your video and I know now what my mistakes were, so thank you for the lesson!
I love me some big chips. Other day I watched a millwright running full speed on mild steel, making smoke, with an assistant just a-dousing the hole in lube. No clue.
HEY ! LISTEN YOU ¡! YOU DON'T BUY ! ME !! ANY NEW !! DRILL BITS !! WHEN ! THEY ! BREAK ! / BUST !! YOUR VIDEO !! IS ABSOLUTE ! UTTER !! CRAP !!! THIMBS !!! DOWN !!!!!!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. After smoking three or four drillbits I decided to look up the proper way to drill in metal and your knowledge and techniques are spot on. Thank you so much!
