no, it can be updated while it's disconnected from the car. look for the number of updates in the little red circle on the upper right of the screen. just press update it it should automatically download and install them all. it will be a bunch of small updates. check for updates and if it won't connect, put in a ticket with XTool to see if there is an update available for that vehicle

depends on the car. for example , i programmed keys for a 2003 Ford Expedition the other day. In the process, I inserted a non-programmed transponder key that set a code that prevented the starter engagement. Once I cleared that code, the vehicle started.

No. the crankshaft pulled should pull off with a harmonic balancer puller. i got 3 years of free updates when i bought the scanner and they drop a lot of updates regularly. I don't really pay attention to what is updated. When i turn it on a few days ago there were 165 updates pending, which took about 10 minutes to download and install.

Interesting. Once you've ruled out proper voltage supply, and components (new starter, generator, regulator, and cables, the next step is to test the circuit. The best way I know is to leave everything hooked up and voltage drop each section of wire in both the control circuit (battery to ignition switch, ignition switch to solenoid) and the controlled circuit (battery to solenoid). I've got one other idea on it, but it will take two people to check it. The start switch on the floor activated the starter plunger on the starter via linkage. If the bushings are wore in the linkage, it will not push the starter button on the starter in far enough to engage. Test this by first manually activating the starter button on the starter. If it starts, look at the linkage when a second person tries to use it from in the cab. I would check this before any further electrical troubleshooting.

Fluid and filter change barely helped , mines not holding third gear , so it never makes it to overdrive ..you sure I cant just hook a pump to this pressure gauge hose ? Give her a external pump boost ? 😂 Anything to get out of pulling this p.o.s ...🤔🤔😅😂
