I lied about my home life in middle school. I didn't want people to know my mother yelled at me everyday. When I began living with my Dad and stepmom, very few friends would come to my house, that was reserved for one or two friends. I kept working on myself so I would feel better about myself and people would see me as I wanted to be seen. " Best friends" changed according to the new school year or people moving on. My parents made sure I had the best in stylish clothes and more, but I kept feeling as though I didn't deserve them. However, I would never admit that. I threw myself into learning a little about everything to be more interesting, most of the time it worked. Back to the clothes, it had a opposite effect as well...when I entered college, some people thought I was a pampered rich kid even though my parents bought them and I would buy my own clothes as well. I worked out just to not be bullied, but that only made me stand out more.. mostly positive, some jerks would just try to see if it was show muscles or if I could actually fight Spoiler: I could box, wrestle, and practiced martial arts. If someone betrayed my trust, they didn't get a second chance. I learned that I could always make new friends so as to avoid being sentimental. I had people I cared about, just a few and the rest at arm's length. Like Draper, I mostly liked the beginning of things. I learned to be careful with money, but when you add everything listed above...I was often treated as though I was didn't deserve it and some tried to take advantage, few succeeded. I spent a lifetime walling off myself so as to avoid feelings and risk of betrayal. I didn't dislike Don Draper, I understood him.

One other comment Gekko made was that "the most important commodity I can think of is information." Having good, reliable information really gives you a huge advantage in many situations. It doesn't always guarantee winning, but it can really make a massive difference in some situations. If someone is trying to feed you misinformation, knowing how to investigate their claims can give you the winning edge. I had a family member who was trying to feed me misinformation on a very important personal issue. I reviewed the information I obtained from a very reliable source and was able to conclusively debunk their claims. I recommend an old book by private investigator Irwin Blye called "Secrets of a Private Eye: How to be your own private investigator." This book has some excellent tips on conducting investigations without having to pay through the nose for a licensed PI. I have found the information in this book to be extremely valuable.

Huge conflict of interest with Carryology and brands, to when one Goruck. They shill for them repeatedly and consistently and it’s wrong. They act as if this is for “fun” doing collabs but it’s making money. Bellroy makes money using us for there gain. After two years in the community is more distasteful and unethical what the leadrship of Carryology do and say and Bellroy sits back and allows such egregious behavior.

Fun video, I am currently rereading this book; one note abbé is the man's title, it's the equivalent of Abbott. Faria is a cleric of sorts and even adopts Dantès as a son to inherit his wealth as Faria has produced no children on account of his vows of celibacy. I absolutely love this book and abbé Faria is definitely one of the most memorable and inspiring characters.
