This here is our model car building channel Projects In Progress meaning I always have on going projects all the time. I'm a woman model car builder as I do have a passion for it too. I started building and working with plastic when my foster parents got me a Miami Vice Sting Ray Daytona kit when I was around age 8. I do build a lot of different types of projects in different scales. I love the 1970's-80's vehicles and TV series and movies the most. I grew up around The Fall Guy, Chips, The A-Team, Dukes of Hazzard, Ghostbusters, V.I.P.E.R ect ect shows and movies. If you like watching Progress done to a model build then you might like to hang around! Don't for get to hit the Subscribe button and hit that Like button on any of the clips that is posted.

In this episode of Model Car Builds, we give you a look at how a Real stunt car from the TV series looked like after they did one massive jump and landed hard on the driver side. Breaking the back window out. Then how it would look when the car set out for a very long time in a junk yard. Here is a build of the car model that was built for in a bigger build that was built. This model does have a camera on the pass side to recreate the image of what the real car had. But at the time the model here was not all the way completed yet. The hooks in front is for the dust cloud to attach to.

nice
Thank you
While I don’t understand the green splotches on the interior, the exterior and underside are an absolute knockout job! Well done!
The interior part presents wear and faded over time. On the show if you look close at some scenes of the interior you can see where where the spray bomb paint wear off on parts of the panels exposing the factory color of the interior the car once had before being turn into a General Lee for on the show. This build not only presents what we all seen on screen BUT what the cars also went through off screen too. Some took on damage off screen while not being filmed. Some cars was only spray paint or as some calls it spray bombed the door tops to the ceiling only for what the cameras would see. Some of the cars mostly the stunt cars had there doors cut and hacked up for the cage to fit. We're glad you like what you seen and mention to us about parts your uncertain of.
I have a faint memory of this episode. Nicely Done. Thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it! and Thank you! The episode was "Southern Comforts". A lot of folks don't really remember that name to well, they call it the episode where those boys painted the General Lee charger green LOL.
looks great the weathering turned out good I like the bull bar I had to scratch build a bull bar for mine, the kit part was way out of scale. Planning on building cooters truck soon but the kits are way to expensive so I think ill look into the amt kit to see what I can do.
Thanks, I am planning on doing another Cooter's truck in 2025. I enjoy building these things with my family. Your also correct the kits are getting up there in cost nowa days. I think the more detailed the kits are the more they cost. If you don't mind adding detail which is the fun part about scale building then I would suggest AMT but if you can afford it it there is Moebius models with "nice" detail you can look into to but they are a little on the cost side though. On this build there was a lot of scratch building that went into it so I know what you mean on that I too didn't like the size of the kit parts out there some just way to big an out of scale.
Audio is awful.
Sorry about that!
Do you use the roll cage that can with that kit
This one here was built by using a friends aftermarket decals. The kit was a Revell 1969 Dodge Charger kit. The roll cage you see in the car is one of our roll cages that we make. Some of the times of the AMT General Lee kits, we do at times mod the kit cage from that kit a little as it's very close. But some bending is required though LOL. So I guess to honestly answer your question sir, yea we at times. But when it comes to the Revell builds its scratch built by us using measurements that they used on the show.
Hi Mopar Woman nice work how many general Lee’s have you done, thanks
Hi there, thanks for the kind comment. To answer your question to how many I have built.. A lot. and still going.
Don't you just love the imagination 🤪😜😁
Yep, but the fun part is thats the fun part is imagination though. But this builds is base on a real race car though with a sad background behind it.
Welding the chassis from scratch, looks like fun 😜😎
Not really fun. I'm a decent welder and working with this metal was somewhat hard due to how small it was and watching for warp issues.
@@Projects-In-Progress just sharpening your skills and doing what you like is what I meant 😁
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you!
what kind of camera is it im building a general lee car for a video game and i need a stunt car general lee can you tell me what kind of camera it is or if it came in the modle kit or if you designed it?
Hi! It's base on the Pan-vision Cameras they used back then and still today in some places. They used different types of set-ups though. This is a strap and suction type that you see on this build. Which type of video game if you don't mind me asking? The cameras you see in our builds are all scratch built by me base off what the rear units looked like and how they hooked them up to the vehicles. If a camera unit came in a model kit I would tell ya. The camera on this build would be suction to the body panel and hooked under side. Camera would set in the cradle fasten to it. The strap would be ran up and hooked inside the window area to a bracket or at times if the car was going to be jumped hook to the cage rear bar to support the camera cradle during impact of the landing.

Good placement of the zip tie behind the passenger door. It would be like mimicking the camera shot that Paul would use for Dukes or Jack Gill would use for Knight Rider.
That's what they did on the show, so we did it on the scale as while. We tried to mimick everything they did into our builds. We also thought thats what Paul would do on the set or on other series as while. You don't see that stuff very much now days.
@@Projects-In-Progress True, the cameras of today are a lot different. Most of the car gags are done with CGI...
Looks great so far, I wish I would have taken better care of my General Lee kit when I was a kid.
Thank You! You can always get another one an build one. Their fun to build.
