Either Bowman’s luckiest or cleverest ride. Not how Winx usually won. She generally ran wide (therefore further) and was still always too good...

I remember thinking Winx had them beat at about the 600 metre mark. What an absolute champion she was. This win was truly incredibly, and I have seen nothing like it before or after.

I remember when Winx destroyed Highland Reel here and people said it didn't count as he was a 2400m horse and than a few years later Highland Reel went back to Europe and won the prestigious Group 1 Prince of Wales Stakes over 2000m(same distance as Cox Plate) LOL
