Today we cycled from Munster to Ahaus in Germany.
We cycled out of Munster and past Munster Castle.
The route took us along more of the fabulous German cycle paths, passing more pristine farm buildings and very neat and well keep small towns.
We rode to the beautiful Schloss Darfeld Castel.
We also cycled through the Wasserschloss Haus Egelborg Castle.
Finally, we reached Ahaus, a delightful little town with its own impressive castle.

Day 43 of our great European bike adventure. Today we cycled from Paderborn to Rheda-Wiedenbruck in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. We followed the bike path along the Pader River through the park and beside the lake. We cycled past the impressive Schloß Neuhaus Castle. The ride alongside the Boker canal to Delbruck was equally enjoyable. We cycled a great rail trail to Rheda-Wiedenbruck.

Today we cycled from Eisenach to Datterode and in the process crossed from the state of Thuringia to the state of Hennen. Some highlights today were riding under the unbelievable Werra Brücke bridge. Cycle from Apolda to Erfurt in the German state of central Thuringia. The theme continued today as we cycled through more of the interesting agricultural landscape mixed in with the scenic German country side as well as the great little towns along the way. Today we have left Dresden and started cycling across Germany We continue across Saxony heading to Waldheim. After getting out of the city we quickly found the rolling agricultural landscape with many small German towns scattered about it. With the beautifully weather and great scenery it made for a very enjoyable ride.

Today we set off from the beautiful little German town of Krippen. We cycled on the Eurovelo 7 beside the peaceful Elbe river to Dresden. The main highlife today was the absolutely amazing Konigstein Fortress. We also had fortune to be able to view the Fantastic view of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains and Bastei bridge as we cycled beside the Elbe.

Today’s ride took us from Round nad Laden to Krippen, a journey that saw us crossing the border from the Czech Republic into Germany. Along the way, the Labe River transformed into the Elbe River, and we also joined up again with amazing Eurovelo 7 cycle path. Our day concluded in the picturesque German township of Krippen.
