HOA's suck. They bully the owners and the workers. Their rules are not for me. I worked for one and managed the pool for two years. Most of the members were very nice. But the rules are crazy. They would use me to enforce the violations to members by denying their entry to the pool. I couldn't take it any longer and left after the second summer. Even the lifeguards were leaving. They'd be harassed by members whose kids were disciplined for pushing people in the pool, etc. I actually had parents tell me to unbench their kids because I'm the boss. I would tell them I'll talk to the lifeguard and find out what happened. I told the parents that lifeguards have ultimate authority over everything once they sit in that stand. If I run on the deck, they know to tell me to walk. The parents just don't get that it's all about safety

I can't understand what the fisherman was doing to hurt anything. The HOA does not own the water.

The man can own the land but not the water that’s why boats can come up in their. But you can’t walk in on the now private land. At least in most states you can’t not even if the man owns the land on all three sides he can’t stop boats from coming up in their unless he builds a dam to block it as long as he owns the land on both sides of the inlet.

In most places, you can fish the water but can't get on the ground. To be legal, he will have to use a boat. Even the ground under the water may be owned. Shitty, yeah, but still the law. He can absolutely fish a river that runs across someone's land.

And I'm so tired of these jackasses. The residents don't fish. These people monopolize natural resources and don't use them. Some people just have this weird tendency to hoard and monopolize resources (like access to salt water areas, and unfished ponds BURSTING with bass in subdivisions and gated communities) they never intend to use. Greed.

I am so sick of people like this. When I was a kid I hunted ducks on a small river and people would always call the cops on me (they thought they "owned" a part of the river). Every time the cops would tell the homeowners that what I was doing was legal. Jerks
