I’m pretty sure it’s the platform that belongs on the forward funnel which you can see in original pics. Chances are it was removed so Big U could get under the Walt Whitman bridge - that woulda been roughly 30 years ago, so if it hasn’t been blown off in the interim then I guess they’ve been lucky 30 years. Or more if you consider the whole ship!!

@@alannewman85 You are probably correct. I was thinking it was the main mast that had to be partially disassembled to be able to fit under the bridge. You can see in this video is in the same position as it is today. th-cam.com/video/imD5lHZcwqI/w-d-xo.html

@@HEYDRONIES-qm7vt I always wanted to take videos of that ship and was scared to fly it because I didn't know the area too well. I like to plan my flights ahead of time and make sure to be safe.

I heard they are going to remove that ship from there and make it into an artificial reef. It's a shame they're taking away a piece of history.

I used a template I got from paper-replika.com of the Costa Pacifica and edit the design with Photoshop. But I accidently erased the file.

I made it using a template of the Costa Concordia from this website paper-replika.com the only modifications I made was the smoke funnel and the lido deck. I used photoshop.

The scale of the ship in paper-replika.com was too small so I scaled it up more using photoshop.
