We are Andrew and Sofia from Riverside, California. In 2022 we left our home town, packed up our belongings and hit the road for an adventure. We've since traveled to 27 countries across Europe and Asia and are currently spending time with family in Alaska. Next up, South America!

We traveled from North to South experiencing the spring in several cities and several climates. Japan is our favorite country in Asia so far and we can't wait to explore more and at different times of the year!
Street scenes from Palermo, Sicily

Palermo is a fascinating city with a long history including many different cultures. The food is incredible, the beaches to the north are nice and the climate, if you like hot weather, is perfect. Music: Lou Monte, Luna Mezza Mare Cicio Pasticcio, A che laria la me zita
Scenes from Andalucia, Southern Spain
มุมมอง 46ปีที่แล้ว
Andalucia is a magical landscape. The legends run deep with strength in their stories still proudly displayed on hilltops throughout the land. Stone structures set long ago that have stood the test of time keeping watch as one generation makes way for another. Andalucia is home to one of Europe’s oldest cities Cadiz, and the history can be seen all around you but it’s even better heard and tast...
A taste of beautiful Scotland
มุมมอง 19ปีที่แล้ว
We spent three weeks in Scotland, first on a road trip across the country and second on the West Highland Way. Here is just a quick clip of what this country is like, of course the video doesn't do it justice but we hope you enjoy anyway!
Street scenes from Kathmandu, Nepal
มุมมอง 46ปีที่แล้ว
We spent nearly a month in the city and still barely scratched the surface. Nepal is an incredible country and Kathmandu is the beating heart! Music: Chinmaya Dunster, "On Sacred Ground"
Cruising around the island of Palawan, South Philippines
มุมมอง 84ปีที่แล้ว
We flew into Puerto Princessa, took a bus to El Nido and then rented a scooter to explore all the beaches along the west coast of the island. One of our favorite trips and most beautiful places we've seen in the world. Music: Call Me by 90sflav
Street scenes from Hanoi, Northern Vietnam.
มุมมอง 575ปีที่แล้ว
We really enjoyed our time in Hanoi and it became one of our favorite cities in Asia. The scale, architecture, food and atmosphere were perfect for us and we cant' wait to go back. If you get to make a trip there don't miss out on the Cafe Dinh egg coffee, walking the Old Quarter and the traditional water puppet show! Music: See Tinh, Hoang Thuy Linh
Soundscape of Sideman, a farming valley on the Island of Bali.
มุมมอง 148ปีที่แล้ว
We spent two nights in the Sideman valley at the Maha Neka Villas. Andrew hiked up Mt Agung for sunrise (the volcano at the beginning of the video) and we spent the rest of the time exploring the valley and relaxing. At night the wet fields come alive with noise and this video is just to share some of those sounds with you. Music credit: Nightfall, Explosions in the Sky
The West Highland Way, July 2023
มุมมอง 1.7Kปีที่แล้ว
The West Highland Way is a roughly 96 mile walk from Milngavie (just north of Glasgow) to Fort William. Many walkers will choose to hike Ben Nevis to cap off the walk since that's the biggest mountain on the British Isles. We spent 8 days on the trail and were amazed at the beauty of the highlands. The rugged mountains and valleys, rivers, lakes and wild flowers had us consistently in awe while...
Celebrating the Annual Sinulog Festival on the Island of Cebu, South Philippines
มุมมอง 34ปีที่แล้ว
We arrived in the Philippines unaware that the annual Sinulog festival on the island of Cebu was just days away. In 1521 Magellan, a Portuguese explorer sailing under the Spanish flag arrived in Cebu and befriended one of the tribal kings. As a symbol of their alliance he gifts to the kings wife a Senor Santo Nino after baptizing them. Magellan was killed in the battle of Mactan by the tribe of...
Visiting Riverside's Sister City in Sendai, Japan
มุมมอง 151ปีที่แล้ว
Riverside and Sendai have been Sister Cities since 1957. Almost every year since, groups from the cities have had contact, made trips and helped eachother in various ways. This year we had the opportunity to spend time with Kenji-san, Sakae-san and Kimiyo-san who hosted us and showed us their wonderful city. In Japan, adding San to someone's name when speaking to them or referring to them is a ...
Sunrise Hike on Mount Sibayak, Sumatra, Indonesia
มุมมอง 575ปีที่แล้ว
We spent a month on the Indonesian islands starting in North Sumatra. This video covers our climb without a guide of Mount Sibayak. It's not a long hike, only a few miles and isn't particularly steep so if you're a fairly confident hiker you should be ok to do it without a guide as well. We stayed in Berastagi and rented a scooter to drive to the trail head. The road there isn't too bad with on...

Thx. Nice vid! Great job. Well done!
Great work and wonderfull music. Thanks for letting us travel with you this wonderfull trail. I will start in three weeks.
How was midge situation in july on your trip?
We got really lucky and they weren't bad at all. A few spots they came out and the evening at Glencoe mountain resort they were swarming but overall nit bad at all
A very nice video, thank you for sharing it. You guys were so lucky with the weather, it rains an awful lot in Scotland 💦💧😂. I really enjoyed your video, hope you managed to climb Ben Nevis the next day too.
We got so lucky with weather, and very few midges as well! Glad you enjoyed it :) We also climbed Ben Nevis but didn't see much from the top since it was very cloudy, still a great walk though
Great video, can you tell me is this section as difficult as San Sebastian to Bilbao?
Hi, thanks for watching. I think both stretches had their tough sections, I'm not sure I'd say one is harder than the other but both can be challenging with sections of hill climbing. The second week may be a little easier than the first because you get used to walking.
How were the midges?
We got really lucky I think, not bad at all!
Nice work! Thank you!
why never wear mask?
Nice work. My son and I finished the walk in September, we mirrored your stops thru Day 4. I know just how thrilled your Dad is to have made that trek with his kids.
Well done!
Heya it's Athlyn. Love viewing once again yours adventure. I've sent it to Sham & J. ❤
Nice video. Most videos I've seen recently are whiny about the track along Loch Lomond but you were quite positive about it. Well done.
It was peaceful and we actually quite enjoyed that part, a nice unexpected landscape for us as we were mostly anticipating the moors and munroes.. Thanks for watching!
Lovely video. Planning to walk the WHW september 24 to celebrate my 80 birthday. I loved your music.
That's amazing, I hope you have a wonderful walk! I'd love to do it again in the fall, we're I Alaska at the moment and the colors are mind blowing
Did you make it?
Well done folks 👏 Not everyone finishes so you can all be proud. Having done it myself, i know how hard that last day from Kinlochleven to Fort William is, so if you went on to do the Ben the next day then i tip my hat to you 🙂
Thank you and congratulations to you a well! There was definitely a discussion on Ben Nevis but we went for it and were really glad we did, beautiful hike and worth the effort.
Beautiful scenery, lovely isolated terrain, great shot's and great editing, well done and thank you for sharing 🥰🤗🥰
glad you enjoyed it!
Loved your choice of music.
thanks, glad you liked it
greetings, which time of year you were there?
Hello! We were there in late November/December and the weather was great. A few heavy rains but mostly nice weather

hello ! any suggestions , searching for any company trekking jungle tour . muchas gracias
There are many but we went with Sumatra Orangutan Explore and were very happy with the experience. All the guides we met were great, their place in Bukit Lawang was nice and we had a great time. Definitely give yourself a few days before or after, it's a nice place to relax after the jungle. We did three days but wish we did more, the jungle was amazing! Good luck 👍

Hello, could you tell me where it is or how to get to the place that appears in your video at minute 3:02. I did that section of the Camino, but I went through there. Thank you so much.
Hi, of course. That area on google maps is called Punta las presas. The trail was not well marked and we heard from some locals after the fact that it is a dangerous trail and many people have needed to get rescued in bad weather conditions. If you go, please be safe! We stayed at Orinion the night before and decided to take the coastal route, towardds the top you have to climb a little through an area, it's not too bad but you'll need to use your hands, not just hiking!
Looks like such a good time 😄
It was really special, very fortunate we got to meet them :)
Very cool! How did you meet this couple? And become friends
We were introduced through friends who are a part of the sister city group
I got so lost in this video sensitive, beautiful, and your narrative on the history. Sophia looked so beautifully connected to the each scene a gentle humility. You definitely got your dad gift of a narrator.
thanks! glad you enjoyed it :)
How wonderful to be able to share those moments with each other. May God continue to be with you both and keep you safe. Enjoy all that he has created.
thank you!!
So beautifully flimed with equally resting beauty of amusic score. That drawed me emotionally into each image and national sounds of the national environment. You and Sophia have given us to share with you. Inspiring others to touch God untouched creation.
Hope to see the rest of your adventures🎉Thank you for sharing your lovely paths & scenic walks🙏 The Lord bless you always🙏♥️🙏
How beautiful it is for you to share your world walk experience🙏 Praying for your safety & wellness❤❤❤

Wow shamsun J her boyfriend and i was so excited to see you both on your incredible journey before you left to meet up with your dad and brother. Since then we've been following both you journey feeling so part of it with the amazing professional camera and video shots with so much pouring of souls. Following the connections of each location, the people that embraced you and how you both embraced them. That more than a cultural exchange. But life long new friendship. As well as reconnecting with childhood friends seeing Sophia becoming part of Shamsun and her boyfriend J with you becoming friends. I myself feel so blessed to see you again and your beautiful Sophia. Following your journeys. That making me grow as a person. Verena so excited following both your journeys.
