A great tip for Thailand is that their road numbers are mostly bunched up together so the 3's are all in the same area etc, and you can just click that general area if you find a road number starting with that (like at 15:30) To add onto the short&stubby antenna, it's only found in Mexico, Ecu, Colo and Brazil (the lack of that antenna doesn't mean you're not there, but it's presence guarantees it)

at 13:20 : as a general rule, the road shield color is the same color it's gonna show up on the map (so 1B would've shown as a red road on the map). Also too many countries have roads that start with E or A so that's usually not useful for guessing the country

Have you checked out "A Learnable Meta"? It shows the meta you could've used to get the location correct (for specific learning maps)

at 9:45 i would recommend not trusting copyright when its gen 3. it just deadass lies when its gen 3 for some reason😭. this round was coverage taken in 2012 but it just slaps the 2024 on it for whatever reason.

For the sun trick, it only works because google took the coverage roughly at the same hour of the day. But in some locations if the time of day is something like sunset (like it was in your case) it isn't viable anymore

a pretty useful tip is that turkey has no antenna in gen 3, and will always have white car no antenna or white car short antenna in gen 4. definitely a good tip to remember! :) also if youre looking for something to heavily improve your gameplay quickly, learning the differences between camera gens and which countries have which gen is probably the number 1 thing you can do at your stage of skill. from there car meta is much easier to use and narrows things down a lot more. a good video to learn them is th-cam.com/video/x3pZSlvhnf0/w-d-xo.html which is slightly outdated because it doesnt include oman but oman only has gen 4. distinguishing gen 3 and gen 4 can be tough at first but if you keep practicing and trying to tell the difference, it will come to you over time. 😄

also some interesting history about the vancouver museum it's mostly about japanese internment camps during WWII, where thousands of japanese-canadians were held for being "the enemy", japan being an enemy of canada during the war. most japanese people had all their assets stripped from them, and is one of the worst examples of racism in canadian history. really interesting history, you should look it up also look up the head tax for more asian racism by vancouver

I like ur videos bro I'm also trying to get better at geoguessr. But something did stand out to me. 8:36 this type of roof is very common all over the world especially in europe and definitely mostly spain. thats why its in places like southeast asia, south america, and spanish missions in california. For example I live in San Francisco and if you look at the street view in west portal, or the persideo, nearly all the buildings have this type of roof.

white car is almost everywhere in indonesia. gen 3 is way less common now in indonesia which is why you may not have seen it. argentina however will not have white car. argentina, uruguay, peru, and other asian countries like indonesia malaysia and south korea can have black car, and white car is also in peru as well as bolivia and chile. along with indonesia and malaysia. some provinces / islands have white car in indonesia more often than others that have black car more often and vice versa, but get 4 overshadows most of the gen 3 nowadays but cars can still be good to learn. also .sz is for swaziland which was the old name for eswatini. lowk a rare ass domain i dont think ive ever seen it 😅

Hey, master 1 player here. I watched the video for a while in the middle bit and it seemed that u were doing really well for a 650 rated player. I was waiting for u to make a mistake and then it happened at 9:08. I hope u don´t take offence to this comment but here are a couple tips to get Chile here. The first tip are the snowy mountains all around. These are found around the middle parts of Chile and Argentina and they also extend all the way south. Indonesia doesn´t really have this sort of mountains. Second one is the white back of the car. It´s a good way to seperate argentina and chile from each other since argentina has a black back of the car. Finally the orange sign is pretty exclusive (I feel like) to chile and finally with the sign plus the back of the car, we can determine that we are driving on the right side of the road, while in indo we would be driving on the left.

I immediately logged in to geoguesser after watching this, I lagged too, the screen went black so I just guessed a random location and SOMEHOW it was close enough to be impressive for a random guess... And it was 2 times in a row. First one was in Czech, Prague. I clicked on Nuremberg, Germany. Second one was in Kharkiv, Ukraine, I clicked on the nearby lake... I really wish I had gotten those recorded, it was insanely really. No one's gonna believe me...

oh btw the challenge was places called "buenavista" or beautiful views in spanish (as opposed to the portuguese one we had last time)

Guess explanation (My mind works in process of elimination): -Saw drastic mountains that reminded me of swiss alps before quickly noticing the landscape is far too dry for anywhere but south america -2016 coverage so most likely not Argentina or Chile as they get updated frequently - also rules out a lot of potentials in other continents - No road markings so most likely poorer country Thats basically how I got that guess, it was kinda simple in process because I didn't have much to go off
