Windbooster GT Throttle Controller Review - Jeep Compass Owner's Guide
Welcome back guys! Today, I’m excited to share my review of the Windbooster GT Throttle Controller, which I got recently installed in my Jeep Compass. This device has transformed my driving experience
Installation Process
Installing the Windbooster GT in my Jeep Compass was straightforward and is a plug and play process.
Step 1: Ensure the car is off and the key is out of the ignition.
Step 2: Locate the Throttle Pedal Connector: It’s behind the accelerator pedal.
Step 3: Disconnect the Connector: Carefully disconnect it.
Step 4: Connect the Windbooster GT: Plug the Windbooster GT connectors into the throttle pedal connector and the car’s harness.
Step 4: Mount the Controller Unit: Place it on the dashboard where it’s easily accessible.
Step 5: Power On and Test: Turn on the car and switch between modes to ensure everything works correctly.
Driving Modes
The Windbooster GT offers multiple driving modes:
Sport & Sport +: Enhanced throttle response for city and spirited driving.
Race & Drag: Maximum throttle response for high-speed and drag racing.
Antislip: Reduces wheel spin in slippery conditions.
Valet: Limits throttle response for careful driving.
Intelligent Auto: Adapts to your driving habits.
Eco: Reduces throttle response to save fuel.
Performance Impact
The improved throttle response was immediately noticeable. My Jeep Compass felt more lively and responsive, especially in Sport and Sport + modes. Race 9 and Drag modes made the car feel even more dynamic, while Antislip mode provided extra traction on rainy days. Valet mode offered peace of mind when handing over my car. Intelligent Auto became my default for everyday driving, and Eco mode helped save fuel on long trips.
Fuel Consumption
The Windbooster GT didn’t negatively affect my fuel economy. In Eco mode, I saw a massive improvement in fuel efficiency. Using the right mode for the driving conditions allowed me to balance performance and fuel efficiency effectively.

The Windbooster GT Throttle Controller is priced at around Rs29k and offers excellent value for money. The ability to switch between multiple driving modes and the noticeable improvement in throttle response make it a worthwhile investment.

I have used buffer on my 2 cars one sedan another suv. It is a must have. U don't feel bumps. Improved ground clearance. Better braking and handling. Ur car becomes luxury vehicle.

What was your reason for installing it in the first place? Just testing them out? Time pass? These buffers are meant for older vehicles with age-weakened springs. (Or the odd factory car with poorly tuned suspension or really soft springs.) Installing it on a vehicle with decent suspension isn't going to improve anything. Installing these on a sedan won't make it an SUV, or vice versa 😂
