Why Mufasa Movie Is A Must-watch And Why Superman Trailer Is Trash!
**Review of *Mufasa: The Lion King* (2024)**
*Mufasa: The Lion King* (2024) is a visually stunning and emotionally resonant prequel to Disney’s 2019 CGI remake of *The Lion King*. Directed by Barry Jenkins and set in the same breathtakingly lush African savannah, the film takes viewers back in time to explore the origins of Mufasa, the noble lion king who sacrifices his life for the future of the Pride Lands. For fans of the original, this film promises to enrich the legacy of one of Disney's most beloved characters while offering a fresh perspective on his life and leadership.
### Story and Themes
At the heart of *Mufasa: The Lion King* is a coming-of-age tale that chronicles the early life of Mufasa (voiced by Aaron Pierre), from his humble beginnings as a young orphan in the wild, to his eventual rise to kingship. The film delves into his relationship with his brother Scar (voiced by Kelvin Harrison Jr.), showing the complex bond between the two as they navigate the challenges of survival, responsibility, and loyalty. While the 1994 *Lion King* centered around the story of Simba, this prequel offers insight into the lineage that shaped him-namely, the powerful legacy of Mufasa and the events that made him the wise, selfless leader seen in the original film.
Thematically, *Mufasa: The Lion King* explores ideas of destiny, legacy, and sacrifice, mirroring the core themes of the 1994 animated classic. Yet, it adds a deeper layer by exploring the tension between Mufasa and Scar, emphasizing how envy and pride can shape destinies. The emotional core of the story lies in Mufasa’s journey to understanding his place in the Circle of Life, and how his innate goodness contrasts with the darker path Scar follows.
### Visuals and Animation
One of the most striking elements of *Mufasa: The Lion King* is its breathtaking animation. Building on the technological achievements of the 2019 film, the movie blends hyper-realistic computer-generated imagery with a heightened sense of artistry. The savannah landscapes, wildlife, and sunsets all appear incredibly lifelike, creating a vivid world that pulls viewers into the African wilderness.
However, it’s important to note that while the visual realism is striking, there’s a trade-off: some of the vibrant emotions that the original 2D animation could evoke through exaggerated expressions feel slightly muted here. That said, Jenkins and his team of animators strike a balance between realism and emotional depth, allowing the audience to connect with Mufasa’s story while still appreciating the natural beauty of the world around him.
### Music and Sound
The music in *Mufasa: The Lion King* plays a key role in building the film's atmosphere, but it’s a bit of a departure from the bombastic, unforgettable tunes of the original film. While Hans Zimmer's score in the 1994 *The Lion King* remains iconic, this prequel’s score by Nicholas Britell provides a more introspective, yet equally stirring, backdrop. Britell’s music evokes the majesty of the savannah and the internal struggles of Mufasa and Scar, enhancing the film's emotional weight without overshadowing the visuals.
The film also includes a few musical sequences that add vibrancy to the world of the Pride Lands, though they are more subdued compared to the lively numbers in the original. Songs like “Circle of Life” and “Hakuna Matata” are absent in the traditional form, but their thematic essence is subtly woven throughout the film, as we witness the characters' growth and the passing of time.
In the second half of the movie, the tension builds, particularly as the rivalry between Mufasa and Scar intensifies. The film culminates in a powerful and poignant finale that feels both inevitable and heartbreaking, making for an emotionally satisfying conclusion that will resonate with fans familiar with the fate of Mufasa from the 1994 classic.
The *Superman 2025* trailer introduces a fresh take on the iconic superhero. The story revolves around Clark Kent (Superman) navigating a world where his powers are challenged, and his identity is increasingly in jeopardy. The trailer highlights a more vulnerable and introspective Superman, dealing with the complexities of his dual identity and his role as Earth's protector. Visually stunning, it shows Clark's struggle to balance his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing, while also facing new formidable threats. The tone of the trailer suggests a more grounded, emotionally driven narrative, promising a mix of action and character development.

How are you doing today? I like to say happy holidays to you and your family. This year been an interesting year for movie this year. Although I found your channel this year, you have an amazing content with your movie review. Some movies you like and others you did not care about too which is why I come here to hear your review because you are on point. Hope 2025 bring more things to you and continue to do great things on your channel.
@@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw I'm good sir, how about yourself? I appreciate the kind words, I really love Cinema and I love to talk about it so it's a lot easier for me than it is for a lot of other channels. So I figured if this is going to be something that I discuss with my friends for hours, why not record it and put it out. What channel is amazing as well my friend and I'm happy to share this platform with others like yourself. We make these platforms amazing.
@@TheSeezMonroeShow yes sir. Are you going to see anymore movies for 2024 or you done.
@@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw I just came from Watching Nasferatu? You interested in the title?
How are you doing today and how was your weekend? I did not see the movie and I heard it was better than the 2019 version. But I am just here to hear your review about this movie to get confirmation how the movie goes based on your perspective. As far as superman. Look decent I guess. Look like it going to be a 3 hour movie.
@@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw I don't think WB will allow that. That was the issue behind Batman V Superman
@@TheSeezMonroeShow did you see the extended version of the Justice League. It was like 6 hours or some crap like that.
@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw Absolutely, I couldn't have spent 4hrs of my life in a better way. If they could've condensed the film to 3hrs, cut out some BS. I believe it would've been highly regarded. I would put it over infinity war.
@@TheSeezMonroeShow I lost sleep that day watching that garbage. It was more of a fast money grab than anything.
@@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw What???? Blasphemy! I cleared a schedule to watch that film uninterrupted.
🔥🔥🔥😮💨😮💨😮💨👀👀👀
Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood. That a very long name for a movie and I still haven't forgotten it till this day.
@@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw That's an everyday classic ahk. I can't put that on this list. That deserves to be in the best films of all time.
@@TheSeezMonroeShow You said all time. You got high praise for that movie.
@@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw Have you ever ran across someone who did not like that movie?
I like the movies you listed. Some of these bad movies can be good movie, but some are so bad that it will put you in the psychological hospital. This year along I would give that movie to Madame Web. Now here me out. Its bad movie, but it was funny the way they did things in the movie. Still pretty bad, but I enjoy trashing it.
You think Madame Web was worst than Kraven???
Dig the list man, bad movies are the best!
@@unclegreenskatesoda9570 Thank you! It's something comforting about a bad film that you enjoy. You don't have to think. What you see is what you get lol.
Another movie I would choose is Major Payne.
@@CBGMovement I don't think Major Payne RT rating was that low. I could be wrong.
Problem Child is Hilarious! I love it. Good pick. Dennis the menace is hilarious too. Classics!
@@CBGMovement Problem Child definitely was a surprise to me as a shorty. I never heard of it and my brother in law put the film on and I been on it ever since.

One of my movies that I think I would put in my personal list is Double Take.

Hotsauce is my dude. Phillip Champion is his real name.
@@CBGMovement Shouts out to Hot Sauce
Kaazam and not Shazaam. Crazy work lol. Great pick

Guilty Pleasure Movies. I just created a playlist of Guilty Pleasure Songs! 💪🏾
@@CBGMovement Gotta throw Kanye's "Drunk And Hot Girls" on there.
Ayyyyeeee 🔥
Yeah Wayan Bros is definitely #1. In Living Color, My Wife & Kids... Wayans just don't miss lol. Poppa's House is good too if you haven't checked it out.
@@rachelyancey9609 I have been keeping up with Poppa's House. I enjoy it but I can see that it's a heavily budgeted show. The neighborhood is another newer one that I enjoy.
I hated Martin with a passion. He is just not funny. Imho
@@chantedavidson610 What??? Blasphemy!!! 😭
They make a great movie like the Avengers franchise and ended the series perfectly just to bring the characters back. So RDJ is back as Dr Doom and Chris Evans coming back also. So are they going to bring back Scarlett Johansson. Might as well. Here an interesting question for you. If you take out RDJ and Chris Evans out the avengers, which heroes do you think they can lead the new avengers. Chadwick as Black Panther is out and R.I.P.
@@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw being that Chadwick was supposed to be the one to do it before his passing. I would say Falcon, aka The New Captain America. They just need to make him more heroic. He's been getting his a** whooped since Captain America Winter Soldier. It's hard to consider him a leader at this point when he's the weakest link.
@@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw Great question btw
I like the old Kid and Play way better. Pop was funny especially at the end when Kid trying to sneak in bed. Pop caught him and got that belt. That was funny.
I agree with the part that should have happened. If only after they made it a few years ago after the first one. Considering that fact it took that long for a sequel due to many things, too many characters in the movie and not enough screen time for some. I felt sorry for the villain in the movie because she was barely there and did not do much. It was mostly focus on her daughter and Beetlejuice. I would like to see the villain in a few more scenes.
@@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw Yes, she was definitely a missed opportunity. Exploring that story arc would've been a whole lot better.
@@TheSeezMonroeShow I like Wilem Dafoe but they could do without his character in the movie.
I had to come back because you had top 5 black sitcoms. Did you heard what Jaleel White say on his latest interview. Many blacks did not take to exception of what he said. I think he mention something about the shows were not hood like shows.
@@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw You can tell he was speaking of frustration. But the numbers are there. Family matters had 11 seasons. Which would make it one of the longest running sitcoms of all time. I'm not going to say it didn't resonate with black people. I would say that it ended long after it's prime.
@@TheSeezMonroeShow There were great shows that many people watch. None of the shows were really hood shows. Maybe Good Times and they were trying to move out from the area. We remember like Family Matters, Martin, Different Worlds and even Cosby. Some did not last long like Living Single (which friends copy of them), and the one with Ll Cool J and Debbie Allen. I forgot the name of that show.
@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw In The House??? 😂 I rocked with that show
@@TheSeezMonroeShow yea that it. I could not think the name of the show. They had to replace Debbie Allen with Kim Wayans i think and Carlton from Fresh Prince.
@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw The later episodes when they start working out of the physical therapy office or some ish like that lol. Classic
How it going today? I do appreciate you bring that heat on your channel. Two things I got from this movie because it was bad. I think Brandon Lee was rolling over his grave seeing this. First, I understand the storyline of what Eric was trying to do to save his girlfriend so I was fine with that. Second, the crow was flying circles around Eric like a dark presence and getting a paycheck from Lionsgate.
@@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw What's going on my man? I'm great and how about yourself? After seeing the first trailer for this film, I was on board with it. After 30 minutes into the film, I thought to myself "How did we get here" it was the worst adaptation known to man. This movie was awful.
@@TheSeezMonroeShow Definitely top 10 worst movie of the year? This movie was basically a slow painful death.
@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw 😭😭😭
I LOVED this movie! My husband loved it. We cannot wait to see it again and it is on Prime so we can tonight! We are 54 and 58! You’re very right about the reasons. Your review was about point. Great job.
@@AliciaCapozzi Thanks for tuning in. I hope you guys enjoy it on the second go round. I totally forgot about the Amazon Prime release thank you for reminding me.
I use to make fun of Madame Web of how bad it was but at least it was laughable. This movie here. No way. Whoever made Rhino costume should receive 1000 lashes for that. Who ever was that other guy who likes to count like he a combination of quicksilver and count dracula needs to go. I will say Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Russell Crowe did good in their respective role. It is official this is worst than Madame Web. My God. Oh yea, how are you doing today?
@@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw I'm blessed man my good sir. How are you? You're speaking about The Foreigner. We had too many villains and not enough character building. The Foreigner should've been made out to be the main villain. He was literally the only villain you're worried about the whole film. They could used chameleon and The Rhino for a second film if they weren't going to focus on them.
@@TheSeezMonroeShow Foreigner a main villain. The way he got killed off easy. They probably knew they were not going to make Kraven 2 so they just throw everyone in it and pray for the best like the kicker trying to kick a 50 yard fg. I am good sir. The original Gladiator was one of my favorite films back in the day. I saw it in the theaters when I was like 12 and stayed up late to watch it again when it debuted on HBO. That said, I couldn't have given less of a shit about Gladiator 2 and I'm glad that it's probably going to lose money. It's grossed roughly $370 million which is $130 million short of the break even point. 😆
"Gladiator 2" really sucks.
@@Eadbhard That's a bit much
@@TheSeezMonroeShow I think not. It's a bad movie, a colossal waste of money.
@@Eadbhard What didn't you like about it?
@@TheSeezMonroeShow They used the same bloody themes as the original movie. I guess they figured, since the original 'Gladiator' was such a successful, epic film, why not reuse the same storylines? Wrong answer. In not creating new plots for 'Gladiator 2", they failed miserably. Also, even though the original 'Gladiator' film wasn't entirely historically accurate, it had only a few anachronisms, and the scenes and events did not stray too far away from the time period in which the film was supposed took place, which was the 2nd Century AD. But 'Gladiator 2" was fuggin' ridiculous; it didn't even attempt any kind of historical accuracy: the battle scenes, the characters, and the fake CGI baboon monsters made the whole picture resemble some kind of silly, fantasy film. Gladiator 2' sucked. People should just watch the original over again instead of wasting their time watching this one.
I enjoy this movie a lot. I know there a ton of people who did not like it and that fine. I had to see it because of Denzel. It was interesting to see how his character protrayed in the movie. People are actually questioning to see if there was his character appeared in real life back in Roman Empire. Back from vacation to see what have I missed on your channel. How are you doing today and how your day?
@@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw what's going on?! How was your vacation? After watching the first gladiator, I didn't think we had a need for the sequel. With it costing $300mil, I feel that money would've been better spent on an original script. With that being said, I didn't dislike the film. It would've been better fit for a later winter early spring film with a $80mil budget.
@@TheSeezMonroeShow vacation was great. I dont understand why these productions have to spend so much money to make movies. If you make a solid movie with solid characters with decent budget spending, then it would be great. Like Terrifier 3, StopMotion just to name a few.
@@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw Horror movies tend to get away with little to no budget. These are big directors, producers and actors. Ridley and Denzel probably cost $100mil alone. That's before you get cameras rolling.
@@TheSeezMonroeShow I assuming you referring to getting money on the front end. I give you an example. There a rumor going around about the Rock getting $30 million upfront before the production of Red One. On top of that, he probably get something on the back end too like boxing with most fighters.
@@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw I'm going to be honest. For The Rock, that's extremely low. He was the highest paid actor since 2018-present day. He gets a producer credit when he signs the backend deals. Tom Cruise is another one. Look at the budget for Bad Boys 2... That went into Michael Bay and Will Smith's pocket for the most part.
Did not see this movie yet because I was more interested in Gladiator 2. Just here to hear your review to see if its worth the price of admission? How are you doing today and how your day?
@@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw I'm blessed man, how about yourself? This film is definitely worth the price of admission. Runtime of 2 hours and 40 minutes. You don't feel the run time but you might think to yourself, "was that part worth putting in this film?" And that's when it arrives at this grey area. But overall, I would recommend.
@@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw Haven't seen Gladiator because I wanted to watch the first film before jumping into this one. Is it necessary?
@@TheSeezMonroeShow To understand the story better, you might want to watch the first one.
@@TheSeezMonroeShow okay cool. I check it out. Gladiator 2 is about that long too almost 3 hours.

@@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw I'm blessed ahk. How about yourself? Denzel playing a prominent role when we could easily cast his son is a little nuttz to me. John David Washington would be great in the MCU. What character you ask??? That i don't know.
@@TheSeezMonroeShow He Denzel and that it. Now I heard there some wierd scene in Gladiator 2 which he was a part of and people when on a frenzy. They have to remember that he is playing the character and he not that character in real life. You know they going to milk the old actors until they retire. You still see Samuel L Jackon still in movies?
@@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw But Samuel is a different person in every film. Denzel plays Denzel in every film. Which is why we love Denzel but I have to say that his son (from what I've seen so far) has more range than him.
❤
Did he buy a dump truck full of baby oil. I know stores like walmart, costcos, Sam Club or even Amazon dont have that much baby oil in stock like that. Mr. Too Slippery Combs.
@@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw He has a direct line with Johnson and Johnson 😂😂😂
@@TheSeezMonroeShow Johnson and Johnson stock went up
Well dang, you seen this movie already. You must have gotten the early access pass. How are you doing today and how was your weekend? So we have Captain America, Black Adam, the Chick from Charlie's Angel and the dude who hates Spiderman.
I'm doing well my good sir, how about yourself? That cast of films is spot on. I was able to catch an Early Screening at Marcus Theatres here in Chicago Heights. If you like cheesy xmas comedies, you might like this.
@@TheSeezMonroeShow I just saw a cheesy movie 2 weeks ago. Oh well, might as well take a look at this one. I don't think nothing else coming out this weekend. Im doing good thanks for asking.
@@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw That's the spirit!
@@TheSeezMonroeShow Guess I will find out soon. How are you and how your day?
@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw pretty good sir. You catching a midnight screening?
This is one year that the election was like overkill. You get text messages, phone calls, emails, and even random people walking up to you to vote. Worst thing about it, it was everyday. Consider how things went down during the election, I was not surprise Trump won it by landslide.
That transformer movie was pretty good movie? Storyline and character development was on point? How are you doing today and how your weekend so far?
@@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw Phenomenal, If we can get this type of energy in a live action film it would be top tier. I'm blessed as always my friend, how are you?
@@TheSeezMonroeShow I heard they are making a legend of Zelda live action. Im afraid they might screw that up. Fingers crossed.
@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw Video game films have been doing better as of late. Sonic, Super Mario Bros, etc. Let's see how Minecraft does.
@@TheSeezMonroeShow Minecraft is something I will pass easily. Never played the game kinda like Borderlands.
@TennisReaperCinema-vp7bw Me either, my kids love Minecraft so imma definitely take them to watch it. Borderlands was bad but it wasn't as terrible as people made it seem. I'll watch that over Joker 2.
I knew she would not win along time ago though i was a democrat voted for Democrats in nyc, i see the bullshit slap in the face the total disrespect for hardworking Americans with the border with illegals getting free everything buying mopeds bikes cars have no licence causing harm robbing ,murder to our people disrespecting the police while they getting bailed out by the same churches that getting millions to house and feed them, this is disrespect while they causing mayhem in nyc.. I had to change my vote change party.. Kamala was too silent for way too long with nothing to prove just a few months before election coming with those fake dreams when Trump was already in bronx campaigning in nyc way before the election..he won for we are frustrated in new york city frustrated in this country...time for a change democraps fell asleep and they get away with murder not this time, enough of the bullshit..Americans has spoken

RIP KING QU
Quincy Jones was a living Legend. May his Soul Rest in Peace. One Incredible Journey. 💯🇨🇦🙏🏿💛🌟🪦👊🏿
RIH King thank you for all the beautiful music
Nice video! At the end, you say "remove the emotion," and see America as a "business." I can see where you're coming from. Speaking strictly in business terms then, and applying logic... what is the explanation for Kamala getting 14 MILLION fewer votes than Biden got in 2020? Either: 1) There was mass fraud in 2020 or... 2) Democrats got that much more excited to vote for a white male octogenarian than a biracial female of color. I'm definitely open to other possibilities, but they have to pass the smell test!
I'm 1000% sure there was some fraudulent play in 2020. We were thriving while Trump was in office but because of the power of propaganda, Trump was made out to be the bad guy and people followed suit. I couldn't come up with a reason to vote for Biden in 2020 and I couldn't find a single reason to vote for Kamala in 2024.
Wow what an icon the biggest dog in the patch his gigantic accomplishments to the music industry RIP you were outstanding😊😊😊😊😊
Quincy was a handsome man and now we have lost another legend. Your music and style will last forever. Thank you Mr Quincy Jones for the music, you have left us now, but you will never forget. Sorry for your loss family. Now you can R. I. H. With God. ❤❤❤❤❤
