1. It's not at all necessary to learn illustrator for being a graphic designer but yes illustrator ke aas paas koi software nahi hai (vector based)... It is used at very large scale in the industry that's why I recommend ki industry standard software seekho ap. 2. You can do both because everyone is a part of graphic design. So you can say you're a graphic designer but agar specifically mention karte ho to people identify you for that service only. So, it's your call.

I am very good at photoshop but illustrator itna nahi aata hai vector based mai kaam kam hi karta hu to illustrator par time dene ka koi fayda nahi hai shayad. 2. agar hume koi specific service hi provide karni hai to uss service se ke naam par hi market mai apne aap ko introduce karna sahi rahega shayad.

But you should learn illustrator because it's easier than Photoshop and you don't know when you'll need it. Yes, you can market yourself as a specific service provider. 👍

You must use social media like instagram, linkedin to find clients. Provide value with your content so that they are able to find you. Also be impeccable with your work, best clients recognise very well which designer can do their job. It'll take time but the only way out.
