Mount Baldy Ski Lifts - Winter 2023 - Los Angeles
Mount Baldy Ski Lifts is a family run ski area in the San Gabriel mountains of Los Angeles County.
The ski lifts, originally built in 1952, still spin today, as long as they can manage to chip the rime ice off the lift cables!
In Winter of 2023, Alex Reed & Colin Sander, and many locals shared in an awesome late-February pow day at the legendary BALDY.

Hell yeah. It was sick seeing the Galena getting some representation. There's lots of awesome chutes that could probably be skied on that north face.

This is incredible footage! As a socal resident who is aware of the amazing skiing here (in the rare event of perfect conditions) I’m so happy to see this footage come to light. I’m sure you had to scour hard for beta on this stuff. Well done!!! Would be a dream to do it myself but the timing is so difficult.
I lived here for years with no knowledge, always skiing big sky and bridger when visiting my mom in bozeman. One year, I checked out Mt Baldy ski lifts on a 2 foot powder day and conditions were all time. I realized the terrain was actually fantastic in the presence of good coverage. Been preaching ever since

definitley do it ! some years are pretty dry, but when coverage is good, its awesome. Jan-March is best.

This is such an awesome watch! :D Pretty unorthodox and interesting kendamas to be doing tricks on (and said tricks were cool, especially the duet sections), nice black & white aesthetic, dope music choice (and I feel like every time I hear Digitalism - Echoes, I'll be thinking of this video), it's all just so great! 💙

Lovely video, brothers! I’ve climbed there over 100 days, done most of the routes into hard 11s. Magical. My climbing buddy Kris wrote the guidebook. AND you found Seven Teacups, too! Done some great FLYFISHING there at lower water.
Grant, that's awesome !! I'd love to meet up, or do a climb up there together. I'm pretty much a 5.10- climber, but have followed some stiffer things. Mostly just enjoy being out there ! I'd love to hear some stories from you. & Cool about Kris ! I still have not 'descended' the Seven Teacups, but swam at the base of it many times!

Even if you aren't quite ready to climb there, it is absolutely worth hiking in, at least one of the domes can be reached without technical climbing (3rd class)

Wow, that’s amazing. Great job and great video. At what part of the video is the Notch? It was in the news recently (alas), and I was trying to get a sense of how precarious the location is. Thanks, and glad you safely and successfully completed those climbs.
Thanks ! the notch is seen at :45 and also 5:30. It isn't particularly dangerous- but has some steep and rocky terrain around it.
