it was raiden who defeated shinnok in MK4 and technically raiden made it to the boss fight with quan chi and shang tsung but that's where deception starts and deception has so many endings canon for characters and it's actually shujinko who defeats onaga but take heed because armageddon starts and taven wins armageddon <- yes he does shut the fuck up in mk vs dc both super man and raiden fight dark khan at the same time only in different universes (because yes they did multiversal fuckery) then midway dies tragic death and is renamed to netherealm studios so they try doing fucknut reboots that nobody wanted apparently shao khan's ending from armageddon is the true one so shao khan wins armageddon in reboot multiverse in reboot multiverse liu kang just like in canon timeline wins first two tournaments and raiden wins mk3 mkx is so fucking stupid there is no tournament it's set in two periods one is directly after shao khan's defeat and shinnok loses to johnny cage but it's raiden who seals him soo... raiden wins mk 4 again? and after shinnok comes back it's cassie fucking cage of all kombatants who defeats shinnok again and then they do dumbfuck mk11 and of course they reboot rebooted timeline merging future with past to the mk 2 era of reboot timeline technically nobody wins because kronika erases entire rebooted timeline - that's stupid yes and this is where it really gets fucking stupid revenant liu kang takes the soul of past liu kang and as the game established killing the younger self means your death - so he should stop existing but he goes to battle and raiden somehow merges with revenant liu kang who should not be existing that results in revenant liu kang becoming a fire god and at the end mk 11 is won by liu kang fire god canonically he loses one round because aftermath dlc not only does a lot more time fuckery but also because it begins after the ending where raiden helps liu kang create new era also liu kang wins aftermath and at mk1 the franchise is effectively dead, nobody cares the game is complete trash goodnight everybody

Honestly the ones that do something special with their game overs got a unique thing going on giving horror Especially MK4 the music that plays sounds stressful enough as you fall from above as you spun around before the inevitable happens as they lose their head and your stuck on the screen saying game over which I think gives some eerieness I like the flavor
