Just a short one this week. This was performed after a quick review of Chris Stapleton's song - White Horse. We all agreed and played it! It still needs work, but the audience still loved it. No sugar-coating. Pure requested, over-played tunes - LOL! No real editing and just 'fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants' situations here. Sometimes musicians get requests... okay... we ALWAYS get requests! People think that if it's on the radio, you should be able to play it. So... once in a while we do! And the tunes range in musical tastes and genres. However, check this out... at this particular ...

Sturgis 83rd and Harley Davidson #Milwaukee
มุมมอง 220ปีที่แล้ว
This is the last video of four, with the trip to the 83rd Sturgis rally in South Dakota. The trip was epic , and the trip will forever be remembered - not only for the trip itself, but also for the unstoppable rain and cold that we all endured. These few videos are not my regular content, but I wanted to capture my "off-time" from music... All Drums All The Time, on vacation. Thanks to all for ...
A live audience. ALWAYS unpredictable!!!
มุมมอง 126ปีที่แล้ว
Live music is interesting. For smaller venues, sometimes the crowd (okay, most of the time) the audience needs to be won over. Most times, there seems to be 3 phases through the venue. Here are some live observations from the best-seat-in-the-house. Please subscribe, if you have not already done so. Many thanks! Sturgis 83rd Rally... finally made it!

After Covid, borders closed, plans down the tubes... I finally made the over 3,400 mile trip to Sturgis, South Dakota. This is the third video of this little mini-series. Musicians need vacations too! So, along with producing videos for the music channel, why not share some down-time videos. However, weather in South Dakota proved to be quite a challenge. Wow, 😢 I don’t like good byes. Nice tribute to a great band and awesome friends. All the best to Crystal and Brandon and all you guys.
Thanks!
Nice to watch and hear the band play ❤
I will never get tired of watching this video awesome ❤
You are too kind.
nice review i like it thanks. but i have a question. i use wired in ear monitor on stage. i hear the group in my in ears. but i want to hear metronome also. can we use like this? for example i can put my in ears cable to the metronome and i can use my in ears from metronome and i can hear both? is it possible?
Thanks! As for IEA's with your mix... for sure! Here's how I have set up the mix with the click in the past. Check out the video as it goes through all of that. 'Hope it helps. th-cam.com/video/UHI_BYdJvbA/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for your video. I am an hour west of you and a few of my friends are riding to Sturgis next year 2025. for your zip code use the numbers in your postal code and add 00 (two zero) after it. So if your postal code is L4A 5M1 use 45100
Thanks so much! I appreciate the zip-code sub for Canada. That will really help. I’ll mention this in my next video. I have started a new channel (brand new) after I completed the Lake Superior Loop. Theroadlife. I’ll be sure to mention your answer to the zip-code issue. Thanks again and cheers my friend!
I’m happy to hear this again. ❤
Great review, many thanks. I have the same tool. In fact the AC adapter is not supplied with the metronome and it has to be purchased separately. (9 € Thomann) It's a nice metronome but I would also have preferred some more sound samples.
Thanks for the note! Great hearing from you folks overseas! 'Looks like we agree on a few things. Cheers!
❤ nice to hear you guys
Still plugging away! :)
Thank for you special video. I have a question: can you give me some advise for a footswitch compatible with the TAMA RW200? manyb thanks
I believe a footswitch compatible with the RW200 would be something like the Roland FS-5L Metal Footswitch. I'm sure there are several that would work with the unit. Thanks for the comment! Cheers!
i bought a RW200 rhythm wach , ideed i've tested 3 of them and all have a terrible sound on headphones (distorted) , very bad for use in live concert , (i tried different headphones and in ear monitor) , the display light does not work if you use a external pedal to increase programs or start and stop the click , and it is not possible to keep it "on" permanently . this is not a professional device and more than 90€ are really to much !
I hear you brother. There are so many more devices since the TAMA unit came out. I still use it live once in a while; however, I only use it to gauge tempos when I sub in with charted songs. For clicks, I will use a click track when I am sequencing, or there is a video sync through a track. For that type of show, the TAMA unit obviously cannot be used. I also still use the TAMA RW200 when I teach as well as practice with a click. Keep on drumming and thanks for taking the time to give feedback. This is how we all keep informed!
Das problem habe ich auch, Sounds sind einfach nicht auf ln ears zugebrauchen ... das beste ist immernoch das korg kdm 2, das ding hat einen geilen cowbell sound, nur leider kann man keine tempi programmieren
@@andreasmucher4341 sorry i don' t speak german
Das könnte ein Problem sein.
Hi Chris - thanks for this review video - I just bought the same one but I have no sound - perhaps I am doing something wrong?
Hi, 'Pareltje'. There wasn't anything that I needed to do, other than turn up the volume, when I unboxed the RW200? As long as you don't have headphones in the headphone jack, there shouldn't be anything prohibiting sound delivery. That said, do the headphones have sound when you plug-in? I would return the unit for an exchange. I'm sure if you've exhausted all avenues, an exchange for a new unit would not be difficult. Sorry to hear. Best, Chris.
❤❤❤Chris I look forward to hearing more of your posts. Congratulations 🎉
Great post Chris. Good way to “start my Friday” ❤
Very nice. Thanks!
Great video, thks chris and band!

Always working with other musicians. This was a subbed-in gig. Lot's of fun.

Thanks!

Glad you liked it!
That was really cool but not liking that rain much 😮
why buy this when you have tablets and metronome apps? i'm using pro metronome app with a tablet on a stand. creating playlists, saving song lists, changing metronome sounds etc. Very useful on stage. Tama RW series were useful before we had tablets and apps but now it became useless with its toy like narrow screen.
I use a tablet as well. I think I'll start looking into the tablet and match it up with IEM's.
@@chrislamont9477 perfect combination 👍
Which app are you using? :) Cheers
When is your next Sturges post ❤
Soon!
I will never get tired of hearing you guys ❤one of my favourites, yes I have many 😂
Oh I’m so jealous. 😂 I’m happy you finally got to take the trip to Sturges and sharing your experiences with us ❤
More to come!
Can the unit be in Always On mode or it shuts off after some time?
The light shuts off, yes. The unit will stay on, however, I do suggest plugging the unit in with the DC jack.
@@chrislamont9477 awesome, thank you for taking time to reply
Great to hear you play. ❤
C'mon out sometime!
@@chrislamont9477 Golf season almost wrapped up so looking forward to coming out and catching up.
Good stuff. Can you program a groove, like a shuffle, to solo over in practice or does this not have that capability?
Short answer, not shuffles specifically. However, you can work on shuffles through programming triplets into the metronome - then simply work on your timing from there.
Hi! Thanks for the video, one question only, it's possible diferents tempo in a same song?
Short answer, no. To be clear, the best way to achieve this is to play to a sequenced click-track via your laptop. There are programs for this that are used with backtracks, or sequencing. Even if the metronome was capable of doing this, I would not rely on it live. All to often a guitar solo, bridge, or audience participation bit may veer of bar-count. You'd be screwed! I would only use a severed tempo if everyone was following the click/sequenced backtrack. IMO. Cheers, and thanks for the comment.
@@chrislamont9477 THANKS so much!!
Oh my-I will be very good on the dance floor going forward 😂 awesome playing. Again with the “big kit” 😞 I missed again 😮
Next time!
Nothing like listening your post playing drums first thing in the morning-get my day going. Awesome
Sound great Chris. It’s tight.
Many thanks, Greg! Check out some of the other vids and let me know your thoughts. Cheers!
One question I have-why is it I never seem to be there on the nights you play with the full set of drums 🎶 😞 ❤ love hearing you play.
I always have a full drum kit. I think you mean a larger kit.
@@chrislamont9477 I guess you got me there, yes I would love to see and hear you playing the larger kit. Maybe one day.
The 3rd button is your backlight button. Push it to turn your backlight back on.
this or DB90?
Jayyee, one thing I really like about the DB90 is the option to keep the display light on. Other than that, I believe programming the DB90 takes a little too much time, plus it's a little more money! Just my opinion. I do like the features of the DB90, however.
Cool TH-cam channel, BTW!
Another great start to my morning ❤ looking forward to the next post and hearing you guys play.
What an awesome way to start my morning-love listening and watching you play the drums ❤
The backlight should be turn on automaticly when I'll click some button?
One of my beefs, yes. The light turns off and, if you want to check the read-out, you need to depress the button again.
That was awesome to watch first thing in the morning ❤❤❤❤
So glad!
So awesome to hear you play again. ❤
I love this metronome but a huge down fall is not being able to keep the backlight lit and you can’t see the screen at all if it’s dark, I usually have to keep my iPhone light or small light over my rig.
I totally agree about the lighting piece. I specifically mention that in this review. Thanks for the comment and watching. Keep on playing, brother!
😯 wow is that a full kit? Awesome ❤
That was freaking awesome Chris ❤
Many thanks, Debra.
Listen just makes me want to get up and dance-even at 7:30 am. Freaking awesome ❤❤❤❤

I’d say -a little too close for comfort. Some just wanna get close to the music 😊 I guess! Can’t blame him.
It was just like being there-ok not quite but so enjoyed it. ❤
