Very interesting 🤔😊 Why were they called “Couromanti”? I know this term was mostly used in Jamaica.
Shoot brother, you like a professor, the pronunciation is perfect, maximum respect❤
Good stuff 👍
Can you please teach on how using the words “tribe” or “ethnicity” have racist undertones? What term should we use instead?
Ethnicity
Well, the fact that like 99% of all 100m world record holders have been cought cheating says a lot, same with the long distance african runners thst dont even have a anti doping program. Sure, most of the top sprinters are black, but they slso come from a very smal portion of countries, usa and jamaica for example. It would be very interesting if we took 1000 nigerian sprinters and 1000 white german sprinters and see wich ones would be the best. I think doping and training opportnities matter more than just be african.
Thank you for this video

The Igbo people from what is now southeastern Nigeria were among the many African ethnic groups forcibly shipped to the Americas as part of the Transatlantic Slave Trade, which brought millions of Africans to the New World to work on plantations, especially in the Caribbean, South America, and the southern colonies of what is now the United States. Key Points About Igbo Slaves and Jamestown: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jamestown, Virginia (founded in 1607) was one of the first British colonies to import enslaved Africans. In 1619, the first recorded group of Africans arrived in Jamestown on a ship called the White Lion. This marked the beginning of large-scale use of enslaved African labor in the American colonies. The Igbo people were heavily affected by the slave trade. Between the 17th and 19th centuries, a significant number of Igbo captives were shipped from the Bight of Biafra (modern-day Nigeria) to places like Virginia, South Carolina, and the Caribbean.
