The simplicity of this video is just awesome ❤❤

Trying to hard to teach my brain to learn this right now. I'm about halfway to your fastest speed lol. But it's just practice and repetition, I'll get there.
Very good
Man... Not what I've come to expect from a scotty. At all. The style is still a total mystery to me, and contrary to most everything I learned, technique wise, but man... that was awesome. 👍👍
What’s your background? The Scottish style is definitely unique. Super technical and super relaxed and swingy. I love it so much
@@provenmusic3449 I marched snare, in a different life; those days are 20 years behind me, but I lived and breathed it, for years. Never got a chance to do drum corps, which gutted my drum instructor and band director, but... there you have it. hah After I got too old, I figured I might join a pipe band, as I was already a part of the American Scottish community. I went to an APB practice, and a snare player spent the whole time with me, showing me the style. My downstroking and Scottish technique just didn't get along, and... I abandoned the idea. Anyway... Sorry about the epistle, brother. And I maintain that you are representing Scottish drumming in the very best of ways. 👍👍
Is that the off world pad ?
Yeah I have a couple of them
Clean ! Sweet
so clean
Thank you :)
Nice
Sounds super clean, I'm very new to rudimental drumming, where should I start?
Start with the basics. I highly recommend the book Taking No Shortcuts. Takingnoshortcuts.com I’d also recommend getting some private lessons to get started. I teach, if you’re interested!
I want sheet music
I can get that to you

Now play Nail Them To The Cross by Dark Funeral :)
Aren't paradiddles already accented? Therfore just making this a paradiddle. Some solid sticking you got there though 🤙🏻
Not necessarily. Go check out my slow to fast paradiddles video. Paradiddles do not have to be accented. In fact there’s a really cool paradiddle grid exercise moving the accent around inside the paradiddle. Maybe I’ll make a video on it …
Gday! its that from memory or read? its a really cool series of patterns. great work
It’s from memory. It’s a page of exercises from Alex Duthart’s book “The Maestro”
@@provenmusic3449 that is impressive!!!
Hey, im trying to teach the young lad pattern memory. Would you have a good place to start? Parradiddles and such are not inspiring him so much , hes only 6, but he is terribly keen , i just need to keep him interested, would you have any good places to start which are a bit more complex so he can see some progression?
Check out the book Taking No Shortcuts!
what happened to your editor
Now do fast to slow back to fast with crescendo and decrescendo
one of my favorite warmups to do
Excellent!
🔥 ❤😊
❤🎉
Yeah, I have always struggled with playing dead strokes. So hard to master. Very good job!😊
Paratriplets sound really cool fast❤
Love this! Sounds great! 😊
Back in the day we simply called them Double flames & the other Triple flams with the same technic alternating with the hand 2 hand method exactly just as you are demonstrating!
Nice stick control. Now do it all it 12” stick heights.
Very good, but the video is going up to medium speed. Is the fast doubles in another video?
I’m not sure, why don’t you go watch all of them and find out :)
I was just joking my friend, well done, keep up the good work. I´ll keep watching and making stupid comments :)@@provenmusic3449
