Recipe for sheds please!
Zucchini bread recipe please!
Thank you! I saved a bag of corn in my fridge that I wasn’t going to get to!
Please share zucchini tortilla recipe
Wonderful video. Very clear instructions and process. Watching is so much better than reading a recipe book!! Thank you!😃
We love corn.my. Mother used to can the corn. My father grew the corn..us kids worked in the garden's . They are passed away... I sure miss the good old days. We also canned: tomatoes, potatoes, green beans, etc, and my Dad did this with a tiller on 4 acers on the bottom field and 2 acers on top field. We had 11 & 1/2 acres and 3 story house. I like how you are teaching the younger ones. I miss those days.thank you very much, and God bless your family .
Mine for mushy while I was cutting
Your Instructions were easy. But mine were difficult to peel. How long do we leave ice.bath thanks.
What a wonderful, informative video! You anticipated and addressed every question I had seconds after I thought of them. I loved the links too. You are a great teacher! Thank you!
Thank you for your help❤
Thank you!!! I was wondering about those zipper bags. No bueno. Appreciate the lesson. We just got a case and freezing for 1st time.
Not sure if you mention it but would they be stored indefinitely or what is the shelf life for the corn
I did talk about shelf life at the very end. With no liquid in the bag of corn, six months. It tends to freezer burn. If you put the brined mixture in, it can store one year. I have found bags in my freezer two years later (you know how things get lost in there!) and still had great taste and texture! Hope this helps.
@@tntfarm5417 it does thank u so much
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉Thanks for sharing this Gem PRECIOUS FAMILY ❤️ Videoclip I have enjoyed it very much 🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲💎💎💎💎💎💋💋💋💋🥳🥳🥳🥳🙏🙏🙏🙏God BLESS YOU FOREVER Dear LADY❤ and Your Precious family ❤❤❤Happy greetings from Suriname
Ah, Thanks so much! We are very blessed to have our family and the time we get to spend together!
Great video. Lovely to see the whole family participating. Looove corn!!!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it!
Need to scrape the cob, gets the good juices out, take back of knife to scrape.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What's the purpose of the brine ? Sorry. I've never heard of that before.
It helps protect the corn from freezer burn. Plus, it makes a nice salty mixture to cook it in after you thaw and warm it in a pan or crockpot. Hope this helps.
best video I have seen on freezing peaches
Thank you so much!
So good to see a family working together and kids being raised right!
Thanks!
why are you putting sugar on sweet peaches? i use fruit fresh but not sugar
We put the sugar on to help release the juices and it gives a nice texture after freezing. My kids will clean the bottom of their bowls to get all the juice! We do not live in a very populated area and the fruit that comes on the truck to us is not always ripe or sweet. If you could pick your own boxes out and get the best fruit that would be great. Sometimes they are not very sweet at all! This year I left the peaches to ripen over a week and had to put them up because they were getting soft. They still did not sweeten up! I have used fruit fresh as well, but this is the way my family likes them. Hope this answers any questions, happy peach freezing time! : )
Yes please, recipes for the shreds
This was a great video with clear and simple instructions. I like how you showed us each of the steps as you did them, will keep things clear in my mind. Am from Colorado and we have wonderful peaches this year so I will get myself a box and get to freezing😊. Thanks
I just take the outer husks and silk off..cut the ends off..freeze in gallon bags...take out, nuke for about 8 mins..cob slides right out of husk and any silk will go with it
8 min waaay too long...only 3 min
You can set the bag of corn in a pot of water to help push the air out when sealing.
We will have to try that, thanks!
Awesome!!!
Thanks!!
Thank you!!
You're welcome! My family just put up our peaches for the season last week. I think we have already eaten three bags!
Thanks for information. Put some up already. Please tell me where you got them Beautiful Canisters? I love them.
You are very welcome. My canisters are Pfaltzgraff pattern Brown Stone. They have been discontinued, but you can still find sets on Ebay. I replace a lot of my broken pieces this way. With a family of six it happens!
I am new to your channel. I really like your teaching style! I am on a low sugar diet so I would love it if you did a video with the two zucchini recipes you mentioned! Also, my husband would love a video on how to cut back zucchini. Please make more videos😊
My mother did something similar but used ice water.
Can you do this method with apricots??
I am not sure; I have never tried apricots. But I don't see why you couldn't. I have tried pears this way and did not succeed. I feel the pears need the canning method to give the best results. I would try a small batch first with your apricots and then test the results after freezing. That way you are not wasting your time and money. This is what I did with the pears and so glad I did, or I would have been very disappointed! Sorry, this is late in reply.
I use my knife all the time like that never use a cutting board
it didnt work for me last year it was watery
Sorry, I didn't explain how we cook it after we defrost. I thaw it in the refrigerator then put in my pan. I heat it up and then drain the water. Then we love to add butter...lots of butter!
@@tntfarm5417 ok thanks for reply
Love your shirt
Thanks! My church had a marriage conference and gave these as gifts. I LOVE it and get comments every time I wear it!
Impressive land spout.
I think landspouts are under rated. You try growing up without a parent thunderstorm.
my dog like to eat those Zuccini shreads
Sounds like you have a very healthy dog!
Tornado. Warm air on the ground getting sucked into a cold cloud. Tornado welcome to Kansas toto.
Happy Anniversary!!!
Thank you so much 😀
Awesome, you are super great at explaining everything, and I totally am following your directions… Thanks so much have a great dessert‼️👍🏻🙌🏻
Awesome! Thank you!
May I ask why u don’t vacuum seal.
I know that vacuum sealing a thawed steak with juices is difficult as the liquids is pulled towards the vacuum making it difficult if not impossible to seal. I semi-freeze my steaks before sealing. Can’t even imagine sealing a bag of liquid. 😯
I’d guess because she’s doing a literal truck load. Time + $$$$
Thank you for sharing how you freeze your zucchini, both shredded and blanched! Where can I find your sugarless zucchini bread recipe? My husband is diabetic and I have not made sugarless bread ever. Thank you for your help in advance!
I need to get on these videos and make them. Hopefully soon! I will let you know in the comments when I get it posted! Thanks for watching and hope your husband's health journey is going well. There are so many wonderful products out there to help in a no sugar lifestyle!
Wow! I just came across this and what an awesome job ya’ll did!
Thanks so much!!
Wow! Congratulations! I really admire the family team work spirit.
Thank you for the info on ripeness. Other videos did not even mention it.
Glad to help
Thanks for info. I’m a newbie to gardening and have lots of zucchini this year.
OMG - how great that I can now freeze all my Zuks - I never thought about shredding - thank you so much - your manner of teaching is wonderful. 😊
Thank you so much!
sound is terrible. chopping is louder and your voice fades in and out.
Used the info in this video to freeze some peaches today. It was incredibly helpful. Thanks you so much! Worked like a charm.
Wonderful! Hope you have enjoyed your first bag already. My family just put up this years crop and we enjoyed the first bag in 24 hours!
Thank you.
You're welcome!
Hello very informative how long do do cook the brine ?
I don’t think brine has to “cook”per se; heat helps dissolve the salt and sugar - just under boiling should be adequate.
Yes, just to dissolve the salt and sugar. You don't want it to hot that it is hard to handle. We dissolved the solids and then let it sit on the stove until we were ready to use.
Saving your video because we finally have enough zucchini to freeze. Love that you clearly demonstrate both ways --- shred & no blanch plus slice & blanch. I absolutely love your voice --- it's musical.
Your site came up in my search today for how to freeze peaches. Your instructions were very clear. Thank you. I checked your site and I see that you are no longer posting. I hopefully you will came back on this site at a later time. Your clear instruction was very much appreciated. I am subscribing today.
Glad it was helpful! Hopefully I can get back at it soon...life!
