Would you recommend a pan adaptor for a Yaesu ft710? I have access to one that I have been thinking of utilising. It looks fascinating to have the radio in tandem with an SDR.

When the conditions are open, nothing can stop the signal. When the conditions are closed, 5,000 watts can not get you any further than ground wave. Radio hobby is fascinating, even if one is unlicensed and has nothing but the most basic and primitive of equipment, which is all I have.

As a non - mariner, and, tbh, not being 'super' knowledgeable about radio, it's interesting to see RTTY in use to put out shipping information.

If this is just with power to radio, I wonder what would adding a linear do?

Can you describe your rig? Yaesu FT-60 is FM only, right? I'm interested in working LEDSAT on UHF (435.310 MHz) SSB, but don't think I have the right radio.

Is it possible to adjust the tone deviation to receive different RTTY configs? I tried to figure it out in mine but I couldn't find any option.
