175. FLOWERS AND WEEDS In life there will be both flowers and weeds They stem forth from planted seeds. These seeds we plant with our actions and thought When nurtured they will open or harden a heart. For we are the field in which these seeds do grow So be cautious of what kind of seeds you sow. Seeds of Love and Beauty, hope and care Are the kind God wants us all to share. They will grow and flower and produce their same kind After His own image of Body, Soul, and Mind. But take care as evil can grow here with you For with man’s fall these seeds came too. They grow without Light so they are hard to see You won't recall how they came to be. But once rooted in they will try to control They won't stop growing till they own your soul. Your garden is no longer one of Beauty and delight With weeds everywhere it is an awful ungodly sight. Unless rooted out at the very source They will grow back with the vengeance of an evil force. If you want the weeds removed from your field Seek Christ’s Light and they will have to yield. Christ will say, “Be Gone and return no more” It is only in Christ Light can Beauty we restore.

12. GOD’S REST Our home is not here in Earth It is not until we die do we find our true birth. Life is a struggle from cradle to grave But with God’s help it is easy to be brave. When we try to do things on our own We get caught up in the fears of the unknown. Though with God this is not true For He is there in everything we do. God is our hope, we are in His care We must learn this, we must learn to share. The road is troublesome that we tread But comfort is found when we learn to sleep in God’s bed.

This message deeply resonates with me, especially the assurance that God’s plans are always good, even when life feels uncertain. It gives me hope to trust in His timing and guidance. But here’s a question: How can we truly distinguish between waiting on God’s plan and taking responsibility for our own actions?

10. A HANDFUL OF CLAY God is the Potter who works with clay He formed each vessel in a special way. His Love of design is a work of art He reveals to us what is in His heart. Different and unique we each are made It matters to Him not color, form, or shade. Made in His image is important to know For it shows us the direction to grow. Grow in faith, hope, and trust For God knows what is best for us. He knows His work, He knows it well Because in each of us a Part of Him dwells.

11. I SEEK THEE My Lord, my Lord I look for You near and far At times I don’t know where You are. I often feel so insecure My heart broken in need of a cure. The feeling of being empty inside Leaves you with no place to hide. Just to find someone to care Would make all troubles so easy to bare. You can’t look to a church with its steeple You must look inside to see the hearts of her people. For that is where you can find A certain love of a particular kind. It is the Love of God for us to share To tell His people that He will always care.

61. LISTEN AND YOU WILL HEAR The reason God seems so far from here Is to few of us let it be His voice we hear. It is so hard to hear the voice of Someone so great Above the noise of the prattle and prate. God speaks to us in so many ways His Love illuminates all our days. If you busily go to and fro You will miss the opportunity for God to know. For God does not exist at a maddening pace He occupies a still quiet place. From here is where you can find The Love of God that brings peace of mind. And if you listen with much intent You’ll hear the message that is Heaven sent.

5. LIFE’S PATH Life may be good, it may be bad To think the latter it will be sad. For life you see Is God’s gift to you and me. It is a chance to learn and grow And find out what God wants us to know. A place where we can do our living A way to open up our hearts to giving. We each must have to do our part To unlock the love that is in our heart. For it is in our heart is where We will find God waiting there. He will direct and guide us through All of life’s changing avenues. Upon a path that’s free from harm Back to the safety of His loving arms.

117. SERVE GOD WHERE YOU ARE This may seem like an insurmountable task to you But you are to serve God everywhere and in everything you do. God should become a part of your life long search Not to be found the one day you do go to church. For God should not exist just that one day a week He is to become the souls desire that everyday we seek. It is impossible to keep God from the work place Because to some degree He is present in everyone’s face. To the ones who know Him well He appears as hope and praise That is the one’s whose hearts can never be brazed. Yet in other’s He may appear as being scared and shy These are the ones who will let His Love pass them by. While in some He may appear full of pain and hurt These are the ones who from His Love will divert. Still in others He may appear as harsh and mean These poor souls will refuse His presents to be seen. He also appears in the ones whose faith has been lost These are the ones we should gather no matter the cost. The one’s who scurry about to busy to be a friend God in Your Love they should learn to depend. The one’s who rush around with to much to do Are the ones who have never taken time to discover You. And , Oh yes, the ones who walk around shrouded in fear These poor children are in most need of having You near. When we serve You Lord all these things we can see But when we share Your Love, no longer will they be...
