Found your TH-cam channel when your prodigal son video popped up on my feed. I have 5 adult children and most of them are prodigals- do you have advice for parents of prodigals?
Thank you Donna for sharing! I would love to encourage you that every word spoken and prayed over your children will never go back to God void (Isaiah 55:11). I remembered when i was turning back, The Holy Spirit reminded me of all the times my parents had to make difficult choices to hold the tension of leading me to God and at the same time holding on to the precious relationship between us. When turning back those actions filled me with so much gratitude and love and i knew this was the power of God working in their lives to love me. Have faith in Jesus to bring your children from having a second hand faith into a first hand encounter with their Heavenly Father! If God has designed them so uniquely then God has definitely planned a heavenly destiny for them in His Kingdom! I believe the Holy Spirit will reveal that for you to them! Jesus we pray for the blood of Christ to cover Donna's five children today in Jesus name and we ask now in faith that they be led into an impactful encounter of transformation and they be immediately be released into their God given destiny in You! In Jesus name we pray, amen!

A pastor once shared that his prayer for our current times was "Lord comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable" And personally I've come to realise the fleeting pleasures of this world is nothing compared to being in the presence of our Almighty God! A day in His courts i better than a thousand elsewhere

Thank you Claudia! Indeed, God listens the prayers of a mother for her children. I still remember what my late father and mother shared with people who asked them, "How did you son come back to Christ?" And they replied "10 years of many wet pillows and prayers"

For me personally, I need to read more modern translations of the Bible and the best one I found is the common English translation. That one really grabs me and holds me from an emotional perspective. God is an emotional being and I feel his emotions through a lot of the writing, much better than say the king James version.
That's true! Thank you for sharing! There's so much depth in God's word and i feel like the different versions does draw out more inspiration to the text. Currently my favourite reference for old testament text would be the CJB(Complete Jewish Bible) version. It's not so common but I've been able to dig deeper into the text and find a lot of new insights!
