​​@@DoooK600 DPI increases latency. You're effectively lowering the accuracy of your sensor and with it the amount of times it updates so you won't saturate your polling rate. Bump it up to 1200 or preferably 1800 at least and cut your game sense down by a third. You can use the windows mouse sensitivity option to lower your in menu and in windows sensitivity. Since Rust uses rawinput it will ignore it in game(menus still will be slowed down to your normal mouse speed)

Not in Rust. I've extensively tested every single frame cap. In-game RTSS Async(default) RTSS Front Edge(Smoothest present) RTSS Back Edge(lowest present latency) Reflex(speaks for itself) Every single cap lowered my 1% lows as much as it my cap did my average and neither latency nor smoothness increased. This is why you need to make sure to test. Though capping your framerate when gpu bound will decease latency yes, just most people aren't gpu bound in rust.

@ the latency and smoothness isn’t going to be greatly noticeable because nobody is running this game over their monitors refresh rate, let alone at a constant 100. There may not even be benefits at all, but it reduces the strain on the components if they aren’t already running 100% because running uncapped pushes your components to the max.

@ but yes most people are already running low settings so they are cpu bound so the benefits won’t really apply.

if you want to spend money buy the ryzen 7 7800x3d. this gave me a insane fps boost . 100+ fps if not then settings can give like 30 fps boost

Really Really shitty simple explanation, when people record a game then upload it, it’s always gonna look better on our end cause the video/videos resolution gets compressed. Giving it an affect similar to like thick antialiasing. But on his end it looks ass I promise.

He could also just be using a higher resolution 4:3 res.

@@sprinttrapfurygod I wouldn’t know sorry , seems it would being as the ram is faster but rust is a cpu and ram intensive game so I think you would see a difference.

The Ryzen 7 7800x3d can only handle up to 6400 MHZ don’t waste your money unless your going to get a new cpu but that cpu currently has the most L3 cache meaning the best cpu on the market for gaming right now

​@@Hudo360-even 6400 is a stretch. 6000 with custom tuned timings is a near must for Rust. Beginners can use the buildzoid timings(assuming you have a Hynix bin)

Which still have higher latency than a 360hz OLED(due to near instant pixel response times) I'd guess the poster bought it a while ago, but these days you'll want to avoid these 500hz LCD.
