This is one of our favorite places to go! Just keep in mind that most Safari drivers will take you to the trail head, but as it is not a regular stop, getting a ride back to Cruz Bay could be a problem! Sometimes a kind local will give you a lift to Maho Beach, if you can’t get a passing safari to stop for you. 🙂

I used to keep my Boston Whaler on the racks they had when it was Shoreline Marina in the late 1980s. Chief used to run the bar/restaurant that must have been one of the most typical hole-in-the-wall 1980s St. Thomian places.

Wow... the memories. Grew up during the development of the Yacht Club and Cowpet Bay. Sailing,diving, skiing, tennis, and partying at night on Cowpet Beach with other locals and the vacationing stateside kids. A number of us 1st generation yacht club brats had an amazing youth provided by an amazing group of loving ( but definitely crazy🙂)families and close friends. Great video! Thanks for the quick trip down memory lane!

Amazing place! I loved its vegetation!

I spent my afternoons there practicing tennis when I was a teen. My dad kept his sailboat moored for about 5 years there too, in the early to mid 1980s. Miss the clubhouse with a pool table, don't miss the stamps to buy things. Do they still do stamps? Maybe next time you can get some shots in from the beach? Maybe some shots inside the clubhouse?
