I'm a lover and a student of this wonderful instrument called dobro. I use this space to post my own version of big classics and to see my imrpoving through time. I try to update the channel quite often. Any comments and ideas are welcome. Thanks for watching.

Another hawaiian swing tune, inspired by the version of Sol Hoopii, and arranged for dobro by Sebastian Muller. Check his incredible version here:

This is an original tune written by Andy Hall for the record "redwing". The song is particular because it's in D minor, that is quite a strange key for G tuning. I studied also the intro of the song. Thanks for watching, Luca
Can't help falling in love

"Can't Help Falling in Love" is a song written by Hugo Peretti, Luigi Creatore, and George David Weiss and published by Gladys Music, Inc.[1] The melody is based on "Plaisir d'amour", a popular French love song composed in 1784 by Jean-Paul-Égide Martini. The song was initially written from the perspective of a woman as "Can't Help Falling in Love with Him", which explains the first and third l...

Thanks! Luca🎶🎸 My High School friend went to Hawaii around 1975 to teach music. Played in a Hawaiian band for years. Still plays!
I'm starting studying hawaian style, really beautiful. Thanks for watching!
Wow. Some of the best ‘pick-n-slide’playing I’ve heard. I play too but not quite like that. Thanks. I enjoyed that.
Thanks, my friend!
Loved that, fantastic!
Thanks!
Love that lick at 00:22 awesome!
Thanks], my friend!
Great.
Thanks!
Io adoro la versione di bashful brother oswald. Grande! in italia sei uno dei pochi.🎉🎉
Anche io la adoro. Tu pure suoni il dobro? Di dove sei? Grazie mille
Bravo!
Quando ci vediamo proviamo questo microfono. Grazie!
Great job! What tuning are you using?
Standard open G. Thanks, Roger!
Awesome!!👏
Awesome picking!!
Thanks, Robert!
beautiful!
Thanks!
very nice!! Have you tried a bullet nose bar? You might find it easier for this style.
I have it and I tried it but I come from bluegrass and I was used with it. I know it gets better vibrato with the one you suggest. Isn't it?
Nice rendition!
Thanks!
Nice, very very nice (and I’m in no way being critical when I ask: have you seen Django Reinhardt playing this?) Camera
I have NO idea where “camera” came from 🤔
Yes. But I worked on a version arranged by Sebastian Muller, which you should check. He's a master in these tunes. As for Django...he was an incredible player. Impossible to sound anything like him, especially with a dobro
Ahahahahahah
Sounds great.
Thanks!!!
Superb! Greetings from Brazil!
Obrigado, Ricardo!

@@markgenest6968i think it too. Thanks!
Something that fills my positive bucket existentialism is the gratitude I'm allowed to feel simply by having been shown open the door that perpetually sheds its detection from all that could know it. Thankful for having this opportunity to join along harmoniously with everything that becomes in these gripless realities we experience from within the same Hourglass sandbox.
Wonderful! 🙏✝️❤️
Thanks!
Very nice!😎👍
You are really kind, thanks!
"Sugarfoot Rag" was originally an old fiddle song titled "Pretty Little Widow" but Hank Garland's showpiece arrangement enabled him to give his interpretation of the song a new title, the same way his arrangement of "Billy In The Low Ground" was re-titled "Low Down Billy"...
Thanks, really interesting!
@@dobroluca Look up "Pretty Little Widow" by Roy Acuff and you'll see what I mean...
@@Pickinbuddy i just did! Amazing!
Very nice. Anything that has Mike's influence is gonna be good. Good playing.
Thanks. Mike is a unique player. I love his style. Wish I could take in person lessons from him
Bello!
Grazie, Marcello!
What brand resonator guitar is that? Great tone.
It's a Karel Zacal guitar. He's a great luthier from czech republic. Love this dobro
You should investigate Weissenborn lap steel It sounds more full.
Thanks, I've always thought of trying Weissenborn
@@dobroluca Richard Wilson Guitars, Brisbane Australia makes the best in the world. I have a style 3 solid Hawaiian Koa wood. I can’t even describe how awesome it is!

Very nice. I like that one G lick you play at 2:16. I'll try and learn that.
Thanks for watching!

Dunlop tone bar! Really great
