does youth not have in interested because of finacial restraints or a lack of knowledge as to how to maintain these machines
That’s great that you’re getting some notice. Love your bike.
getting some tv time, brilliant bit of publicity for you, hope it leads to more sales
A veritable symphony.
The most common type of motorcycle engine in 1924 was the sidevalve 4 stroke. It has more moving parts than a 2 stroke but is easier to design, especially with the materials available at the time.
It looks absolutely fantastic and sounds great. I just recently discovered the Brand and the history. Great work! Would be lovely to eventually buy one.
Stunning! Looks similar to my janus Halcyon. Better in some ways. So many small thoughtful touches. Love the spedo, the tailight and cloth wiring. That front end must be a wee bit rough to ride. Would love one. Bring em to the US!
I'll take six of them. Where do I send the check?
No problem at all, give us a call we can sort that out for you 😎
How much does it weight? Under 300 lbs?
I have a very similar Janus motorcycle. If this is available in the U.S. I'd be very interested.
The Janus is a great bike. Ours aren’t distributed in the US at the moment, but we could help with shipping one out.
@@WardillMotorcycles Sounds very interesting. Let me do a little research and I'll get back to you on that.
Now that is absolutely lovely despite the modern engine in the frame it is lovely :) the brooklands can also 👌
Thank you I’m glad you like it.
Beautiful! But Chinese engine....
Good looking bike. I am missing the front license plate though. It is a unique feature of these period motorcycles. You could put the number on them like WM001, WM002 etc WM could stand for Wardill Motorcycles and the build number 1, 2 etc.. something special.
Unfortunately the front number plate isn’t legal in the UK so can’t be fitted. I agree it would look great though.
Oh? A fake plate with a fake number is not allowed? I didn't know that, would anyone think it would be a real numberplate? Is a black plate with no numbers also not allowed?
Will the bikes be licensable in the US?
Janus motorcycles if your in the USA
I was going to go for a Janus but if you ship these to the US I would rather have a Wardill.
Simply gorgeous! Wish you all the best of luck on your venture. If your company ever makes it State side, I'd love the opportunity to have one!
Wish you an your company the best of luck. What a rich and beautiful story. I live in the states and own a Janus Halcyon 250. Hope to one day see one in person.
I want one 🤪
Well done Mark. You've made such a lovely bike. I wish the business all the best. Can't wait to see one.
Hi my name is luke, i live in the Netherlands and i would like to know if there is a way to ship a Wardill 4 and what costs to expect? Thanks, Luke
Your grandfather was robbed, thanks to the Brooklands test rider! 😢
Very nice bike, reminiscent of a Sterling, Honda Solo from Japanese domestic market, and Janus Halcyon 250. 😍 cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Great idea guys. Classic bike without classic niggles 👍. I can’t find the price anywhere though 😢
Hello, I’m glad you like our bikes. Prices start at £12,500 each bike is built to order and can be tailored to your specifications such as colours and accessories.
@@WardillMotorcycles thank you. Do you know if it would be street legal in France?
How much is it

She's a stunner 🫶👍 to the designers. Great to see that you and the company is Welsh. What part of Wales are you located?
I’m glad you like our bike, we are located in Church Village, South Wales.
Awesome! Thank you, for your inspirational work, guys! A very touching story!
When is it available to buy? X
It’s available now. We build our bikes to order with a small deposit.
Old bikes are falling out of bed so can be picked up at very low prices now and falling nicely done but sadly poorly timed IMHO Good luck with your venture
Looks beautiful.
Year?
It’s a 2023
@@markwardill886 are you serious, beautiful looks old and new
@@frenchfriescrispyep it’s a brand new bike all 100% new parts made in the UK.
@@markwardill886 wonderful, Suzuki did a good job 👍!
All the best this is great im an enthusiast myself with classic honda bikes and a few BSA motorbikes all the best! Need to get a wardill lump in there tho to try out! Blackburne maybe or JAP?
Thanks for your kind words. We did look at a JAP engine the issue is that for it to be road legal it needs a foot gear change so they won’t work. One day we will recreate the Wardill engine 😎

Hmm I no they used to change the hand gear change to foot gear change on the old Norton's model 30s they would cut it down to size and rotate it so it was foot shift instead :) all the rules these days is a right pain !
Looks great, might get tiresome having to explain to Joe public whenever you stop “no actually it’s new, Chinese engine……..”
Yes I have had a lot of “that’s an old one”comments, but that’s all part of the attraction. Yes it’s a licensed Suzuki unit.
Exciting times looks awesome 👍🏻
Writing from across the pond here in the US, I have to say I wish you made a kit version even though there's Janus.
Pathetic. No innovation whatsoever. Not even any effort to continue the bold two-stroke legacy of his forebears. He just put together a visually similar bike with absolutely no unique selling points, no difference whatsoever to the run of the mill four stroke singles doing the rounds.
You're being too hard. He's on the record as wanting to do that but needs to raise the funds to do so by selling these ones with Chinese engines.
I think the bike needs to comply with the current safety regulations and the engine needs to comply with enviromental laws? Maybe i am mistaken. To design and produce a 2 stroke engine when those kinds of engines are fased out by enviromental regulations seems financial suicide to me but maybe there is something that smaller manufacturers dont need to comply? To design a new bike with an engine that has been tested througout is a smart thing to do imho.
Beautiful bike! When will these be ready for purchasing? Will you offer other colors? Cost?
our bikes are currently available for purchasing, each bike is built to order more information can be found on our website www.wardillmotorcycles.com or you can contact me directly on mark@wardillmotorcycles.com if you send me an email I can forward you a brochure.
That is a true Motorcycle and a work -of-Art!
Is the current engine also a 2-stroke & supercharged design?
Fantastic story and what a wonderful idea. I don't know why more people don't do this. There is much more to biking/riding than "faster, faster, faster!" and the new-old bike concept is a great way to emphasise the feeling of the rider-machine-road symbiosis that makes motorcycling magical. As long as it's relatively safe and you don't need to be an engineer to keep it running, I can't imagine why this wouldn't become a great success.
Now that's awesome! I'll be following the progress of this with interest. I'd love one!
Here is a order from Australia when you get up and started mate cheers for bringing a wonderful story with a wonderful bike
this bike is exactly what I'm looking for where do I buy them and how much. Reject modernity with style
Thank you for your interest, you can find out more about our bikes on our website www.wardillmotorcycles.com. Each bike is built to order, however we currently have a number of frames ready ready to be built up, you can call us on 029 2252 1927 to discuss your requirements.
Great video!
Wow! Your bike is amazing!!! From Peter the VW engine guy.👍👍👍👍👍
What a wonderful machine. I clocked your advertisement in the Classic Bike Magazine. New bike the old way. What an achievement. I’ll be after one in a few years time.
Beautiful bike, well done 👏
Wow what a fascinating story! Well done from start to finish!!
Nice looking motorcycle 👍🏻
