Harman Phoenix 120 Review - Makina 67 - EP10
I'm taking my Makina 67 on a little bike ride to test out Harman Phoenix in 120. This film has been a weird one to use in 35mm, but turns out in 120 it's great I love it. I think the colors are cool is really what it comes down to.

Canon P … You Should Get One - EP09
มุมมอง 5523 หลายเดือนก่อน
So like many people I see the Leica Rangerfinders as some of the best film cameras on the planet. And Also like a lot of people I can't afford a Leica so I did the next best thing and got a Canon P. I want to do more videos on this camera in the future. I think a deep dive on how it works and how I use it would be great idea. But for now we will just step in the shallow end and tell you guys wh...

Yashica Street photography in Chicago - Ep07 . #mediumformat
มุมมอง 2346 หลายเดือนก่อน
So picture this walking through a snowy and ice covered winter landscape with nothing but my camera (the Yashica mat 124 g ). That means we are only shooting of square frames of 6x6. I have a roll of expired film and some lomo 400 with me. Its going to be a good time. But wait whats this .... I forgot my hat. I'm going to freeze out here in these Chicago streets. The only thing that will keep m...
Nikon fe2 at Sequoia National Park - Ep06

When you wife's friends come into town from Czechia, they most likely don't want to hang out in the midwest. Your best bet is to grab some cameras and head out west to check out some national parks.
VHS Vs Hi8 - Ep05
มุมมอง 7219 หลายเดือนก่อน
So when two VHS cameras fall into my lap and I find myself trying to learn the hurdles of making videos on tape. Watch as my excitement turns into frustration. Shooting on Hi8 tapes is a new found pleasure for me. But something about this lofi analog video got me super hyped to do a whole bunch more.

Bessa-R and The Cinestill Swamp Gator! - Ep01
I would be very curious as to how the colors are rendered on gray days. Thanks for your video, you just talked me into trying the Phoenix film.
Still need to get my roll of 120 back to see, but I'm impressed with the 100 look, might have to shoot it at 100. Did you develop it normally?
I did the dev at home normal c41 kit , then self scanned on dlsr.
when yours get back in share them with me on IG I would like to check them out
Your glasses are cool
Nice shots! Totally agree, 100 ISO and even lighting conditions are the secret sauce with Phoenix.
@@CCPotato this is going to be saved for overcasted days from here on out
Bro those are sick!
@@The-Sean-Show right on mane !
First comment first pin and love ur cams!
came out hot, actually
Very cool!
yo great content and editing your gunna grow quick
Thanks a lot
I purchase a Canon 7 Rangefinder in lieu of the Canon P after I found a solid deal of it. I absolutely loved this camera but eventually gave it away to my little brother to buy a Leica M3. I must say that although the Leica is built tougher, the build quality of the Canon 7 was no slouch either. I created images with both cameras that I absolutely loved using the Canon 50mm f1.4 TLM lens. Awesome video!
Hey thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment! one of these days I might dive into Leica world. But for now I just keep thinking about doing the all black canon p
Nice video, I have the Canon 7 and the meter actually works, it's a brick like the Canon P but it takes great photos. Thanks for sharing and keep shooting
I came so close to picking up a P. Was actually looking at the Canon VI-L, but ponied up for a Leica M3. I'd love to compare the M3 with the P sometime.
You send me yours and I'll send you mine lol. But no real talk I've thought of how it compares to Leicas
@@cents2mp I probably would have stuck to the Canons but I really wanted to use the M mount over the older L39. If you ever want to move to an M3 or similar generation, they can be had for quite a bit cheaper than the M6s or the like. And yes, the M3 is the nicest constructed camera I have aver used. Until I try the Canons :)
Fast, sexy, vintage
WTF this guy is so good
All Tvs will broke if never replaced the cable, replacing the cable costed me 200 eur from a Polish company, like 3 years ago, now will run amazingly for other 20+ years, that cable was the only weakness of this amazing camera.
Instant follow
Do you know why were people getting rid of it? I’m really interested in the makina 67. It’s like my grail
We've fixed a few TVS's over at Norwich Camera Company.
❤
there are some people fixing them, like Awayrepairs , Nipon Photo clinic
Might have to send it back out east to get that repair
As someone with a TVS II who lives in NYC, nippon photo clinic will work on T2’s and fixed lenses, but they wouldn’t touch my TVS unfortunately. I’d recommend contacting whoever you want to send it to first before going for it.
Sorry to hear it broke, but replacement cables are available and some people offer repairs (e.g. maybe Awayrepairs?).
Love your content bro, keep it up
Your a cool dude! Nice shots! 🎉
You had me at like my own photo, cause same
It's one of the most important steps
I’m new to the process and really appreciate the tutorial. Thank you.
cool vid! i recently tried to do some saul leiter stuff. hard AF.
Saul has a very hard vibe to nail down but it's fun to try
wow so neat!!
Bro what is that track at 5:38? Super clean.
Ay huge props to Matt for hooking you up.
I followed The Normies and the Burlington crew for years now and have taken the opportunity to go down to the Burlington for HotD and the Obi-Wan reactions. I hope one day I get to meet you and the Normies crew. I'm glad ya'll were able to get this opportunity!!
lucky son of a bitch! hahaa love ya chris!
When is the next part???
You need to hit up Spidey to overcome that fear of heights 😉
you not wrong about that
Siiiiick 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks Sean !!!
This is amazing 🔥
Really digging this Chris! I look forward to more. What was the video captured with? The "grading" on the film stills is kind of magical.
Well I mean you need a backup for your backup. Really you should have had 4 cameras. And then another extra one.
Oh you’re played Fallout New Vegas much? Lovely game and the only reason why I’m aware of the Hoover Dam…
I'm not a fan of heights either, so hiking mountains/tall structures is a tough challenge for a bucket list. Hiking the Appalachian Mountains in western VA is just about my comfort level. America has awesome national parks.
I would’ve given the wheel up too, driving up that scenery. Not petrified of heights, but I need to settle and find security. Feeling the beat btw. Good vibes.
Bodie just sitting there all quiet is such an introverted mood. lmao
also have a Sony DCR-TRV 17 handycam
Hi8 sounds like a lotta fun. I'd love to find a camera that works well with liminal spaces, tips for complete beginners will definitely throw me down the film and photography rabbit hole.
Just get a good super VHS-C camcorder. Super VHS-C was better than Hi8. The JVC Super VHS-C camcorders used something called Super VHS-C ET, and let you record in Super VHS quality on normal VHS-C tapes. With a good JVC Super VHS-C camcorder, the quality is not much less than Mini DV. There are actually some videos comparing Super VHS to Mini DV, and it is crazy just how close the quality is. Nonetheless, if I had to choose between a JVC Super VHS-C camcorder and a Hi8 camcorder, I'd choose the Super VHS-C. The Super VHS-C camcorders also have S Video like Hi8 camcorders.
NO FUCKIN WAY. I love the normies and been subbed for hella years. I recently found my dad’s old handycam from the 90s and while searching for videos on hi8, vhs-c, etc I found this video. Small world! New (technically only for this channel) sub here.
Hey right on im glad to know there a few cross overs out there. I hope you enjoy the things I make!
hey great video! Bought a miniDV camera some days ago .... looking forward to use it :-D
Loved this. Very entertaining!
Thanks for watching
I picked up a Panasonic AG-HMC151E AVCHD to scale down and record at respectable 720p, recording the new year party on something made some time ago really has its own charm to it. I enjoy the videos you produce and am learning a bunch from them. Keep up the good work and all the best for this year to come!
Man - GE really nailed the whole “Back in the USSR” vibe
What model is the hi8?
