This was an interesting video and I very much would LOVE to build our own cob home! I have to say though, while I think it's great if you have a trustworthy person who owns land to build your house on, partly you are basically mooching off of them, not living by your own means, not really a fair comparison, I think I'd rather pay for my own land. Plus that person technically DOES own "your" house unless you get something in writing, legally, but they could still take your home or sell the land.

Is it just me or is he one of the most instantly likable human beings on the internet (or in general for that matter)? Love this! I have currently come across a land plot for $4,000 (1.9 acres) and am really looking into a cob house. I'm tired of paying rent and living in disharmony with my values ( I know, I know, i'm corney). I think about the fact that in five months of paying rent I spend enough money to buy over an acre of land! INSANE!
