Te Tarata 4 Sept 2015 Commemorations
These are my accounts of the Te Tarapa 150th Commemorations held at Opotiki 4 September 2015. It was a privileged and humbling to commemorate the injustice of that 150 years ago. Nga mihinui toku whanau o Te Iwi o Whakatohea.

I love this and would play on repeat in my healing space but it’s not long enough. Is that a car revving in the background though? I’d love to hear a longer one, without the car next time.

Actually i think that sound you are hearing is actually a purerehua which is another Maori instrument

Hi There, I enjoyed your video, and your comments at the end were accurate and didn't have the emotive adjectives commonly seen today. I stopped at Te Tarata a few months ago on my way up to the Maraetahi battle site. Your video of the Koauau is beautiful. I will include it in some of my videos (I see from those comments that you have agreed to this, if any issues let me know). Do you play any other tradition instruments?
