This is a 6 night hike from Mammoth Lakes to Yosemite in August 2019, starting from the Shadow Creek trailhead in Agnew Meadows and ending at Happy Isles trailhead in Yosemite Valley.

      Never seen one while hiking in the Pecos but they do have them.

    Gorgeous. Tragically, this all burned down last year in the Hermits Peak/Calf Canyon Fire

      I know, so terrible. I haven't seen any of the burn area. This was over on the west side that didn't burn.

    We would run cows up in the summer to the Hamilton Mesa and pass the Pecos falls the 2:19 Mora flats and stayed a Baties Cabin what memories now I live in Vegas NV

    Did that in 1989 with my six year old son...lost the trail in Lyle canyon....what a maroon.... but at least you had the balls

      Thank you. I got the Shadow Creek permit from Inyo National Forest which can be reserved 6 mos in advance on Recreation.gov. At the time, the Shadow Creek permit is the only one that allows you to stay at Ediza Lake, and I assume that's still true.

    Excellent! I never get tired of watching the trek from Mammoth Lakes to Yosemite Valley or vice versa. I always see new scenes and sections of the trail I haven't seen in prior videos. Thanks.

    I hiked through the Pecos Wilderness for a week in 1979. It was a fantastic week.

    Great hike ! We hiked the loop in 2020 just before the fires 🔥. Other than the fact that it was packed w people ...... one of the best hikes I’ve been on. Thanks for sharing!

    when I was a teen back in the 80s every summer I would hike to a meadow near mount baldy and stay for a few days with my brothers and parents this brought back some great memories
