He was always so much more thoughtful and smarter than any of the interviewers - so many of them ask such superficial thoughtless questions. Look at this guy's facial expression when GM says he "ended up in the wrong room with the wrong people" which was a clever, thoughtful description of what he felt he experienced. This interviewer seems surprised by such a response. He always blew past so many stupid questions by providing, nicely, meaningful responses that seemed to leave many interviewers looking really kind of pitiful in their jobs as they approached him so often as if expecting a prima donna, a total self-absorbed flake or whatever. I love how he always surprised the hell out of them.

I wish he had lived longer. ❤

He was an era where it was still difficult to come out. Nothing like now. He suffered his whole life, just like so many others. I love this guy. He was a beautiful artist making timeless music. It's an honour to have more than one of his songs as literal favourites of all time. His music is what matters the most. ✨🤍

Dalida, Scott Weiland, Falco...to name a few , the " fall from grace" scandaldriven, rough press nearly killed them...severe depression, addiction, did the rest... its sad, because he was so versatile. And had besides Marvin Gaye the best male soul voice of the 20/ 21 century...in my opinion timeless legend....

There should be a new word created for George's voice because it's that different. What a gift he had and he knew how to use it. I miss him so much but I'm grateful for all he left behind for us to enjoy that came from his heart and soul❤

I love how he always always encouraged participation from his audience - some musicians really don't like it, he loved it - on these sorts of tunes (not the ballads, of course). Such a great dance song - sigh, he is just so missed. A great artist and a phenomenal human being ❤

Aww, he was in a bad way at this point - Kenny had left him and he was not doing well with the break up. Anyway, he went, without telling his manager, to do this with Beyonce - just sort of took off and went and his manager was really upset about it (managers can be so exhausting) - made a big thing of it and, from what I understand, George fired his manager (Andy Stephens) - and, that was the end of that. But, that is so GM - telling him what to do or not to do seems like a really crazy thing given he has always done exactly what he wanted since the beginning of Wham! days - and, thankfully, so. He always made such savvy decisions.

Thankfully, some people are born amazing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My theory is that "Father Figure" is a sister song to "One more try", but while OMT is from the young person's POV, FF is from the older person's POV. George used to love having songs that mirror each other in some capacity since his time on WHAM. Most famously, he did it with Last Christmas (the perfect winter vibes song) and Club Tropicana (the perfect summer song). Once I realized that Father Figure has a lot of elements in common with One More Try, I really couldn't unsee that.

1st let me say I love GM still the best live vocalist that there has been, I have just finished listening to George Michael a life on Spotify and let me say that I thought I knew mostly everything about GM but I had no idea how confused he was and how bad and severe his drug use was. I also didn’t know he tried to take his own life 5 times .. I just wish the people and friends surrounding him did more to help him.. I still love & miss him Please if you get a chance listen to the podcast of “George Michael.. a life “ it opens your eyes to how hard his life was.
