This interviewer at least didn't approach him like he was an airhead - she seemed to know that he was thoughtful and didn't ask stupid questions. Given how fastidious he was about his hair which I always found charming (as I have hair issues myself) - this is extra adorable, the beard is longer than usual - he was likely exhausted. I like that he was asked this question because it comes off as clear that those songs are about his personal experiences - he wasn't just writing love songs for the sake of it as many do. You felt them - the hurt, the loneliness, the regret - all of it because he put it all out there. One of a kind to be able to make such gorgeous songs with such intricate lyrics and unique melodies.
