I think in the GoW games the different pantheons all have their own magic and various powers and monsters but they are all built on a couple of foundational things. The primordial fire seems to be one of these things, and since the blades of chaos were forged with them they kept their power. If future games go into other places the Leviathan axe and the Draupnir spear would likely lose their power since they use Norse magic not primordial magic. In short, they wanted to make sure the blades of chaos still worked so they wrote a way for it to make sense without making him OP relative to the new games
Damn, if it's really a question of Geography then this raises whole new questions. What would various African deities be capable of? Or Native Americans? Or the Egyptians??
So would this mean this is base Kratos doing everything in the last two games. Like he’d be stronger than he was at the start of the franchise because of Greek gods get stronger with age but probably no where near his peak because he lost a ton of power.

GoW Ragnarok has a DLC and if you finish its story you'll get the young Kratos skin as an alternate appearance, that can be used in NG+

I love these dialogues of Mimir longing and deeply missing Sigrun because he loves her so much
His magic is his swords
I have a question about the Blades of Chaos. If magic was bound to his homeland, why do the blades still work?
Because it’s primordial fire. Fire that basically exists throughout every plane. Its the fire that birthed flame, if my knowledge is correct.

I haven't read the comics, but I know that in them he does go to Egypt and I'm pretty sure interacts with some of their gods
The africans probably got animalistic magic the native some Sort of being one with the nature magic and egyptians elemental magic
If Kratos had his power from Greek back he will be OP as fuck
He’s way stronger now then he was then
