Nastya Melnychenko is a Ukrainian activist and author who writes on social, historical, and cultural issues. She earned a master's degree with distinction in archeology and history of Ukraine at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
In 2022, her family had to evacuate from her city Irpin because of russian war.
Nevertheless, she was able to continue her research about bullying at schools in Princeton University in the USA.
June 15, 2024, UNWLA 1 Honorary branch 1 was lucky Ms. Melnychenko agreed to give lectures for parents, educators, and teens to discuss details about how to prevent bullying in schools.
During her lecture, we built an understanding of differences and similarities of anti-bullying policies in Ukraine and USA.
Nastya Melnychenko and a team of researchers were able to survey more than 17 000 Ukrainias to make conclusions based on specific data. This lecture would be very important for families of Ukrainian refugee kids, for teachers, for parents. Ms. Melnychenko made a free anti-bullying textbook available for download:
