Both. The guy turning was doing it on a yellow, the guy going straight was trying to beat the light while speeding. Yellow means stop unless it's unsafe to do so, and the speeder didn't. You're also technically not supposed to make a left turn on a yellow. Given the guy going straight was also speeding though, I'd guess ICBC would put it at 75/25 fault for speeder/turner.

@@robertlefeaux No trust me Icbc put 100% fault on left turn car. The same thing happened to me. A person was speeding and hit me while I was turning left on a late yellow.

adam levi is correct, because the exact same thing happened to me as well. Even if the light was *red* and that speeding car was in the intersection and hit you, it is *you,* the driver who was *turning,* who would be 100% at fault because even though the light was red, the other car was *still* going straight and had the right of way! There is a reason why ICBC is so hated, because with that sort of backwards brain-dead mutant logic, a person could stop at a red light, and then when a car from the opposite direction is turning they can just plough straight through the intersection while the light was still red and not suffer any repercussions because hey...he was going straight and had the right of way!

A yellow light does not mean the light is about to turn red as most people think. It means stop unless it's unsafe to do so. I would call another car being in the intersection unsafe so it is both their faults. Guy going straight as also clearly speeding. Nice try tho

The guy going straight was speeding and went through on the yellow when there was another car making a left turn. The guy going straight did not have a right of way, the light was yellow and there was another car in the intersection. He should have stopped, but didnt. He didn't even slow down. Speeding, inattentive driving, disregard for traffic regulations? But yeah, lets put 100% of the blame on the guy turning. Nice try tho

@@robertlefeaux Sir the same situation happened to me. I was the one taking left turn on a late yellow and a person speeding hit me. I was at 100% fault. ICBC are fraudsters

@@robertlefeaux If you in the middle of the intersection of course you have to turn by late yellow/red. And secondly the other person was speeding which was caught on laser and yet that fact was thrown out of the final verdict.

I'm also quick to say it's NOT because of their skin colour, a high population with people from a different part of the world creates accidents, i think it is common for people probably bribe their instructors to get a pass. Nobody ever wanted for this to happen a few seconds of not paying attention is all it takes.

I agree, when you're turning left at a intersection it's obvious common sense you wait for all oncoming traffic to pass before making your turn, obviously buddy who was turning left made a crucial error, literally an extra 10 seconds waiting to turn and everything that had happened would have never manifested into reality.

@@vetreferee I agree, but the dude in the black car didnt seem like he was speeding..even if he was car turning left was suppose to wait until the intersection is clear and then proceed

@pendu jatt I think you mean "can't" make left turn on red. You are right on the yellow though, most people dont know what it actually means and think its just a warning that its about to turn red.
