Your vlog is excellent. Your content ideas are impressive, and I love your voice and channel❤️
Thanks so much! Glad you are liking it!
First watching your vlog. Nice vlog and sweet music. Enjoyable moment..
Thanks so much, hope you enjoy the rest of the videos!
Have you tried using bicarb? Might help your sessions.
I have, will be putting a video out about my experiences with it after I have tried it out some more. It definitely does help the double days, make the reps feel manageable especially when you are picking it up in the second workout.
Hey Nick, nice to see you doing well!
FKT attempts are rare. Animal traffic off trail is more common than FKT attempts. To me it’s not an issue
That is a fair point. I just don't know if someone sees someone going off trail to run up the mountain once will more people just follow them and also go off trail, just based on strava heat maps etc. Just think it is a bad precident to set, even if it is a small amount of people doing it.
I think leaving the built trail for a legit fkt attempt is not an issue. I mean, how often are guys hitting sub1:05 ascents on elbert? Maybe 10 times per year at most. That wont be causing much damage to the trail. The key is to be respectful and stay honest to the style that you belong in. As a 1:40ascent guy, ill stay on the trail and not cut the switches
I totally see where you are coming from. I know that for fkts in Scotland, where you have right to roam anywhere an fkt really just means getting from one point to the next as fast as possible even if it is through a random field. That very much is not the case in the US, so I just wonder where that line is and should be drawn from country to country. Great to hear what you think!
I don't think it nullifies the FKT, but it's in bad taste in my opinion. It shows a lack of respect for the alpine environment. I have way more respect for people who set an FKT with good ethics
True, FKTs are already split into different routes as it is, so it makes sense to me to just make a reconstruction route. Would be an interesting thought to try and have some time penalty for going off trail, I am sure there is some variable amount of time that would've been taken going up the switchbacks. Would be interesting for the runners and for those looking at doing it in the future.
Enjoying the running videos
Thanks man! Will keep em coming!!!
