Did you notice that there're some music tracks missing in Build version that are present in console/remaster one? Like Amun Mines theme for example which I absolutely love. That's a shame and pretty weird

I'm playing on Default Difficulty, and already 'For Carnage, Apply Within', is making me mad.

The fact that Apogee never let Lobotomy Software know about certain BUILD Engine features (e.g. the slopes) really set back some of the level designs, and not until much later did they know about these features. Otherwise, it's a decent one too (I love both this version and the console one).

I get why you see it negatively, it is indeed a mess. But this is an Alpha, something that wasn't meant to be played all the way through (at least not by an average player but rather just developers) so it really can't offer you anything more than the interesting asthetics that resembles the first two Duke Nukem games more than the finished product. Fun to look at, but not so much to walk through. I still kinda like it for the Plasma gun and it's sound taken from the Aliens pulse rifle.

About the only place to find gameplay of the Nehahra expansions and relations. For that I am glad this channel exists. I've tried running this in Darkplaces, as I was able to get Nehahra and the Tides of War to run well enough but there are too many errors with this one. What source port are you using for this?

First off, this isn't Lameduke. This is some kind of a port. Second, you're "amazed" we got Duke 3D? Homeslice, this is from 1995. Duke 3D came out in 1996. This was from over six months before the game came out. Almost every game in this era was like this. Go look at the Doom alphas, at six months from development they looked a helluva lot different. There is so much in this build that ended up in the final game. Your attitude there is immensely dismissive.

Love the rain effect + orangey sunset cloud here. Such a nostalgic combination for me.

This game was great as a kid, though the sound is way off from what I remember though.

The main menu shows Nuclear Showdown which means i installed it but theres no new maps, no new weapons, its just vanilla duke nukem.

you need to find all runes which are ALL hidden in secrets somewhere in the start map and the 3 maps after. if along the way you miss a secret with a rune, you cannot access the final map. i have played a few mods, and this is the first time ever to see that secrets are not optional, but absolutely required. the mod does also not tell you that, so this leaves a very bitter aftertaste. cannot recommed this.

Damn I get almost like PTSD symptoms watching this lol. I get taken back to my childhood when I would play this on floppy disk in my sister’s room with her and maybe friends. At least once I made the mistake of going to play it alone and just getting freaked out suddenly because of how scary it was and having to exit as fast as I could. So this game lives rent free in my head and I’m both dying to play it again and scared as fuck to. 😂

I have a problem. When I approach scroll and read it, the screen doesn't go back to viewing dungeon. It stays on scroll content, even if I go to pause menu and return to game. Can you say something about this?

I'm currently playing this now using the 'Project Brutality' mod and 3DO DOOM soundtrack wad. I must say... Despite what the naysayers said. I am enjoying this. Brutal DOOM 64 and Perdition's Gate will be next on my play list.
