Making a CHUNKY Slingshot from a Weird Tree Fork
In todays video I make a unique chunky slingshot from an oddly shaped tree fork (one limb was much thinner than the other which made things challenging).
Overall I think it turned out reasonably well. As I said in the video, I'm not 100% happy with the bottom section of it, but hopefully in a later video I can fix it up!

can you make a pen from deer antler the same way?
I'm not 100% sure? I think that if you were able to find a reasonably straight antler you should be able to... the only thing is that once you get past that initial top layer of compact bone, it gets really porous and soft. But I guess you'll never know unless you try?! Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it! 👍

very nice looking sling. too bad the blue tinted epoxy didn't come out more blue, that would have looked really nice with that dark wood grain...........you can also try blue chalk like carpenters use in their snap lines to mark boards for cutting, and CA / superglue

my tip is put a much better bandset on. the tubes seem cut too short and tapered flatbands will give much more speed if you csn access that
Okay! Thanks for the tip! I've actually given it a go with some of my other slingshots now! So much better. You can 100% notice the difference in speed, power, and ease of shooting!

Thanks! Yeah I was really happy with how it was going and when I realised It wouldn't harden it was soo disappointing 😆 But I've been working on the new one and I'm pretty happy with how its going so far 👍 I think I need to buy some proper knife steel sometime though 😆

Yeah 😆I've made some Other slingshots now and have way better bands on them. And I've practiced a lot more so I can hit smaller targets ... finally 😂 I think I've figured the shooting bit out though now 👍 Thanks for the Comment!
@@LeviMckinlay I saw your shooting technique is similar to a gangster style shooting/180° but your hand positioning,your reference and your anchor point didn't align like it supposed to be..try search "gangster style shooting for slingshot".. your accuracy and hit rate will increase if you using the right technique..there is no good if you practice a lot but wrong technique.
@@LeviMckinlay I also recommend you to try flatband instead of tubeband,and the ammo is 7mm steelball or mudball..garden rock is not an option if you want to increase your accuracy.
