Maize has nodal root system after post embryonic shoot borne root system becomes dominant and is responsible togther with its lateral root for major portion of water and nutrient uptake. Normally 3 typs (i) seminal (ii)Advetitious root, fibrous roots developing from the lower nodes of stem below lground level which are theveffective roots of plant (iii)Brace roots
Very nice
Good ❤
Sir, you explained it very well and if it possible than please continue teaching botany on this platform , because it's very helpful for us.

Wonderful explanation. I have been searching for a good video for understanding how Nuclear seeds are maintained. Thank you Professor Singh for the insightful lesson
Thanks!!
Hi Sir, How can we contact you?
Sir, I also want to develop variety. What do I have to do for this?
Thank you sir ji ❤❤❤❤
Thank you Sir
Thanks for such insightful and knowledgeable video 🙏🙏
Dear sir, thanks for the videos, very easy to understand... but i have few doubts 1. What if the selected plants segregate during their progeny testing? 2. why cant we just grow seeds obtained from progeny testing?
Maize is heterozygous plant it self and population is heterogeneous so due to segregation no yield penalty because segregation and recombination will occur within the population so selected are selfed and grown in isolation to allow random mating for improvement of the population but in case of ear to row selection is based on progeny performance
Thanks for quarry
Thank you so much sir Aap bhut jyada axhha kam kt rhe hai Aapko jitna dhanyawad bola jay utna kam h 🙏🙏
