I found this reportage of yours to be a hidden gem too. Your attitude is really so beautiful somehow, so unpretentious, peaceful, full of plain love and kindness, be it to another human or to God. Yes, I wss thinking sometimes about the existential situation of the martyrs, and the choices they had made, situations of ultimate threat and horror which had required the ultimate victory of bodily weakness and justified fear. Yet, they'd miraculously managed to make it, undoubtedly with God's help, which probably makes the biggest achievement and victory in human life and limitations. To do the really right thing in the chaos of existence with all its temptations, confusions and forced moral compromises, and after that - heavenly Kingdom which somehow so much makes sense after such a horrible situation and such a right endeavour and deed. Really, what are our modern problems and existential "gorges"compared to that, which gives a comfort, but it also comes from notion that God won the victory on cross and that He went through that horrifying path because of pure love and care for us, humans!!! What a mind-blowing love 💕 Anyway, thank you, greetings from Viktor from Sweden

I am obviously pushng the narrative that St. John the Gospeller who peacefully lay down in his grave and there was a light and he disappeared was someone else than the son of Zebedee. Still a disciple and an eyewitness though. I recommend the book l'Énigme du disciple que Jésus aimait by Father Jean Colson.
