You are destroying your neck and intonation. Take the tension out of the strings before you cut them. You don't even need to cut them. This is something guitar techs do on the fly in an emergency on a big stage. Normally, the guitar player has multiple guitars. The reason for this is that this method of changing guitar strings is terrible.

Do not cut at full tension, and ALSO only cut 2 strings at a time and replace, so the necks delta tension remains low, however I would probably only follow this for oil finishes on necks prob 1k guitars and up

Hell yeah dude way to cut those strings like a fuckin man! I personally like to tune up a whole step before I do it though, it adds to the excitement! Only pussies tune their guitars down before cutting the strings.

I flinched and cringed when i saw those strings cut at full tension. Don't do this folks. Fully loosen the strings first.
