thanks for such a nice video..but i steel did not understand how we convert time-acceleration (earthquake data) to accelration-period (design spectrum)? Becouse earth data comes with time and time converted to period...in this particular transition what formula we use? have any video to explain pls or planig to make such a video? thanks

Sir i have followed your step but im recieving a warning on no rigid floor diaprahgm is present in the model.when i created a floor diaprahgm it ask for reference load but instead i encounter an error on reference load.i want to ask if the warning on no rigid diapragh will affect the result and structural integrity if not can i just ignore it?also when i generate my load combination it only generate ACI table 1.1 and ACI table 1.2 which is 1x load 1 (load= Ex) 1xload 2 (load= Ez)..can you tell me what to do with it?
i always prefer modeling slab to act as rigid diaphragm in the model. the rigid diaphragm command in staad advance is adviseable when you want to get center of mass. other than that, u can ignore the rigid diaphragm command for now and focus on the analysis.
modeling the slab will incorporates its stiffness in the analysis. i forgot to model the slab in this tutorial but i always require my students to model it

Sir why is GY has been removed?and what if id input a negative load on the seismic definition.will i encounter an error?
Gy is removed when defining seismic load. Remember, we are only defining seismic load to determine base shear which is not sign dependent since STAAD will distribute that vertically and horizontally. Check my other videos verifying vertical distribution of earthquake in staad
