It's called freedom of speech. Every other religion is capable of taking criticism, jokes or ridicule. Islam is the only one that is manically intolerant to other people's views and opinions. If people don't want to buy the papers that's their choice, but if people want to buy it let them. It's the UK and everyone has the freedom of choice.
Muslim Men are very strong and brave. We do no let anyone ridicule or joke about our parents. So how can we let someone joke or ridicule Allah and his messenger, whom we love MORE than our parents.
The notion that Islam is Intolerant to other views is a false assumption rooted in ignorance, you will find that Islam and the Sharia have ample room for the customs of the people of the civilisation that it enters upon with the exception of course when that customary practice violates the Sharia. This why when ever you travel around the world Muslims share so much and yet are so distinct Islam removes what is not good from a civilisation whilst enhancing the good. What you are highlighting is nothing more than the fact that you have a notion of "freedom of speech" according to your internal inclinations and it is being contested. The issue of responsibility and consequences toward the other is something that has always been avoided by those who follow there internal passions.
